3 High protein Indian breakfast ideas

Below are simple Indian breakfast for kids that can be prepared at home on a regular basis.

Egg sandwich

An egg sandwich is a simple breakfast idea that comes rich in Protein and other food nutrients. It is quite easy to prepare actually. You just require a few ingredients & equipment. You need a handful of eggs, a loaf of bread, a cup of chopped onions, and pepper.

You can prepare an omelette using a pan with some vegetable oil.

You can add chopped onions, and pepper to it.

You can also add other food ingredients of your wish & liking.

Then use a sandwich maker if you have one.

Place two slices of bread on the sandwich maker, and then place a piece of the omelette in between them.

You can also add some cheese if you want. Then close the maker, which will automatically stop once the sandwich is ready.

If you don’t have a sandwich maker, you can use the frying pan to prepare the sandwich. You need to follow the same process.

As you can see, it hardly takes much time. You should be done under 10-15 minutes.

Banana or fruit smoothie

Our next idea would be a banana smoothie. You need to take a few bananas, apples, or oranges, and blend them together in a blender. You are done. You just need to make sure that the consistency is not too thick or diluted.

You can add your own fruits & vegetables of your choice. It is a simple breakfast idea that you can prepare instantly and be on your way. This is especially true for kids who are in a hurry and skip breakfast on the pretext of no time.

As a parent, you may want to ensure that you have the smoothie ready so that your kids just grab them and leave home. They can even drink the smoothie when they are on the way to school or college.

Cheese & yoghurt

Our third breakfast idea would be cheese & yoghurt. India is a tropical country, and most of the year remains quite hot & sultry. Both these food items are light on the stomach & your body. You can add your own food elements like strawberries, apples, oranges, and bananas if you want.

Besides, there are other interesting breakfast options like dosa with chutney & sambar. The same can be said about idli. You can also prepare roti, chapati, with dal & some fried vegetables.

Tips to encourage healthy eating in the family

Eat as a family. Try to have at least one meal a day together. It is not a tough ask.

Make sure that nobody brings their devices to the table. If that is the case, then nobody will pay heed to the food or people seated around them.

You should avoid junk food as much as you can. Though it is convenient for you to buy cheap, but unhealthy food, it is doing more harm than good in the long run.

Lastly, make sure to use your creativity when preparing healthy breakfasts for your family. You can perhaps take the suggestions from your kids & family.

Conclusion
