Why not surprise him with a dinner cooked, literally and figuratively, by your little hands? He will be impressed with the effort you put in to make him feel pampered and you will have a perfect Valentine's Day.

When he arrives, offer him a cocktail from the house. A classic martini, for example. Ask him out well if he is no longer absorbed in the connection. With green olives or lemon? Place a bowl of cashews or walnuts on the table to nibble on while you prepare the cocktail. He will be very pleased.

Classic martini

  • 150 ml of vodka or gin
  • 1 tablespoon martini or another vermouth sec
  • 1 slice of lemon and a few green olives

Gin (or vodka) and vermouth are mixed with ice in a shaker and poured through a sieve into a martini glass, garnished with olives.

Spicy hazelnuts

Preheat the oven to 200 C. Meanwhile, sprinkle the hazelnuts with a teaspoon of water and a teaspoon of oil, sprinkle salt, paprika, and flour on them. Mix them well, spread them evenly in the pan, and let them brown for about 15 minutes.

A salad is a perfect entree; but, let's be serious, which man likes to have some kind of leafy leaves on his plate, as food for rabbits ?! They like hearty food. In addition to the greens, add some ingredients that will tempt you.

Apple Salad, Gorgonzola cheese, and nuts

Dressing Salad

  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • 1 chive, cut into scales
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 2 lbs of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 15 ground peppercorns

Salad

  • half a cup of chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 1 large piece of Gorgonzola cheese
  • lettuce with small leaves

Mix all dressing ingredients with a pinch of salt powder in a tightly sealed bowl and shake well. Wash the salad well and let it drain well. Spread the sheets on a paper towel to absorb the excess water, otherwise, the leaves will wither.

Cut the apple in half horizontally, remove the seeds and slice it thinly, also horizontally. Heat the oil in a large Teflon pan over medium heat. Cook the apple slices a little on both sides - about 4 minutes, until golden. Set them aside to cool.

Mix the lettuce with the dressing, but don't put too much: the leaves should keep their freshness, not drown. Divide the whole salad into two bowls. Add the crushed cheese, walnuts, and apples on top.

It's a real challenge to find a recipe that is easy to prepare and tasty and looks good. The salmon fillet can be the right answer to the challenge: it's so tasty and quick to cook (you won't have to spend your whole day by the stove) that your boyfriend will be convinced that you ordered it at a restaurant!

Salmon fillets with tomatoes, dill, and lemon

For salmon:

  • 2 salmon fillets of 200-250 grams each, maximum 3-4 cm thick
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 bunch of fresh dill (not dry!)
  • half a lemon

For garnish:

  • ½ Lemon cut into thin slices
  • 4 long tomatoes
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • fresh thyme
  • ground black pepper

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Line the tray with aluminum foil. Cut the tomatoes in half lengthwise. Mix in a bowl with the oil, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Pour them into the pan (the tomatoes should be cut upwards) and drain all the remaining oil over them. Bake them in the oven until the peel wrinkles and turns slightly brown, between 20 and 25 minutes. After they have cooled, peel them lightly and set them aside.

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. Put the salmon slices in an oven tray (skin down) and grease them well with oil. Sprinkle salt, pepper, dill on them and sprinkle with lemon juice. Cook the fish until it hardens slightly - about 15-20 minutes.

While the salmon is in the oven, put a small pan on the fire. Brown the lemon slices in olive oil for about 5-7 minutes on each side. Take them off the heat and let them cool. Cut the ripe tomatoes into large pieces, and place them in the middle of each of the two plates in which you will eat. Put the salmon over the tomatoes and arrange the fried lemon slices next to it. Serve immediately.

Chocolate cookies are perfect after a hearty meal, precisely because they are small - so, pour la bonne bouche… What's good is that the recipe below gives quantities from which many cakes result - we know for sure that the only sweet mouthful!

Chocolate mini cakes

  • 120 grams of household chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg tied
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon flour

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. Melt the chocolate and butter in a saucepan. Beat the egg, sugar, and salt well until light yellow.

Then add the chocolate sauce and lightly incorporate the flour. Finally, put the mixture in small cake pans, previously greased with butter, and keep them in the oven for about 12 minutes, until the crust cracks on top.

After taking them out of the oven and using a kitchen glove, put a piece of aluminum foil on each form, pressing it firmly on the edges as if you wanted to seal it.

Turn them over and hit the bottom of the molds, take them out, and leave the cookies with the bottom up on the foil for a few moments. Then gently turn them face up; the middle will remain creamy.
