Baja Blast Lovers Are In For A Frosty Treat At Taco Bell
The limited-time menu item is only available for Taco Bell Rewards members

Crunchwrap Supreme and Doritos Locos Taco lovers have been sipping cold, refreshing Baja Blast for 20 years! Starting September 3, they can enjoy the signature drink in an exciting way. Just like Aubrey Plaza in Mtn Dew's Super Bowl LVIII commercial, they could be having a blast.
Summer's not over yet and Taco Bell knows exactly what its fans deserve: the long-awaited return of its Baja Blast Gelato. Per a press release, the fast food chain and Mtn Dew have teamed up for the 20th ‘Bajaversary’ for a month of celebrations that included give aways, an exclusive Stanley tumbler, and a $1 Happier Hour special that lets diners enjoy a frozen or fountain drink version of the iconic beverage for a reduced price between 2 and 5 p.m.
The gelato features the drink's Tropical Lime flavor. Taco Bell announced the product last year when it made an appearance on one location's menu for two weeks. Now it's finally available across the country at participating locations.
Baja Blast Gelato Is Only Available For Taco Bell Rewards Members

While you may already be daydreaming of crunching on a Taco Bell taco loaded with sour cream before cooling your mouth down with the frozen treat, you should know one important detail. As the fast food chain cheekily declared on Instagram, "Not to gatekeep but baja blast gelato is for rewards members only."
Don't worry, though! Basically what that means is that in order to get the menu item, you'll need to use the Taco Bell app to order. Everyone who uses the app or is logged into the fast food chain's website is a rewards member who can enjoy the gelato without any further enrollment. Customers will only be able to get four per order and the offering is only around while supplies last. Since it's sure to be in high demand, anyone set on trying it may want to order soon. True fans have already gotten their hands on the icy treat and weighed in with their thoughts.
What People Are Saying About Taco Bell's Baja Blast Gelato

Baja Blast is a serious topic for hardcore fans, many of whom were able to try the gelato on the first day it was available.
Many Taco Bell fans took to social media to share their thoughts about the limited-time offering. While some were simply excited to finally get their hands on the Baja Blast Gelato, several Reddit posters were disappointed with the small portion size and didn't think the amount was worth the price they paid. The tiny spoon that comes tucked inside the lid was a divisive topic, with one X user calling it "goofy."
Some pointed out that the consistency was a bit more similar to sorbet or shave ice than gelato, but many reviewers gave it high rankings. Apparently, when the frozen dessert melts a bit the Tropical Lime flavors are a bit more distinct. One customer complained about the texture and said the flavor didn't quite compare with the soda.
While there were some critics, at least one person praised the item and give it a "10/10" score. Whether or not you'd enjoy the special treat may depend on what you're looking for. Anyone who really just craves the refreshing taste of the soda can stock up as the drink is available all year long instead of only during the summer this year. Either way, the unique product is a fun way for the restaurant to commemorate the anniversary of the ever-popular Baja Blast and give its fans a sweet way to enjoy their favorite drink.

I love Baja Blast, love gelato as well. Great combination 💞
After a day of tacos and Greek souvlaki with bears, some baja bell gelatos would make the night smoother.
