11 Practical Uses of Sugar
Or why it's important to have sugar in your house
When you think of sugar, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Candy? Or maybe your coffee is sweetened? Whatever image you associate with this ingredient, one thing is certain: you see sugar as a food that you can consume in many combinations.
But did you know that sugar can be of real use to you for other purposes? It can be used in some beautification processes, in the kitchen, to clean stains, but also to trap insects.
Cleaning the coffee grinder
Put a quarter cup of sugar in the coffee grinder and use a sponge or even your fingers to rub the walls. Sugar not only has an abrasive role, cleaning the remnants of ground beans but will also absorb the remaining oils from the coffee.
Fire supply
If the fire is about to go out, throw in a handful of sugar to rekindle it. This alternative fuel is much healthier and more pleasant to smell. This is all the more appropriate in the case of the grill, where toxic smoke can enter the meat.
Wasp trap
The sweet smell can trap these insects, where they will eventually die. You can make a perfect trap out of a 2 liter can cut in half, on the bottom of which you put a little sugar with water.
Once you put the two pieces back together, the little insect will no longer be able to find the mouth of the can to come out and die. This trick is perfect, especially for summer kitchens.
You're melting ice
Most people use salt to melt ice or frozen products. Sugar can have the same effect and is especially indicated for frozen fruit.
Remove traces of lipstick from dishes
Lipstick on your favorite glass can be a real problem. To easily get rid of these marks, rub the place with a little sugar mixed with water, then rinse the glass.
Relieves heartburn
Did you eat a little faster than usual and now you're starting to regret it? You already know about milk that it removes heartburn, but sugar is just as useful. A cup of sugar can get rid of these inconveniences.
Extend the life of plants
Plants love glucose as much as you do. That's why sugar is an important ingredient in the fertilizer you buy in the store. You can make your fertilizer by mixing sugar directly with water. Add a drop of vinegar to discourage bacteria from growing.
Remove the fat
Sugar can be used in the kitchen, in dishwashing detergent, and your hand soap. If you have worked in the garage or the garden and your hands are greasy, use this ingredient to get rid of dirt.
Exfoliate the skin on the elbows
For rough elbows, add a little sugar over the juice of half a lemon and gently massage the skin. Then use your favorite moisturizer.
Moisturizes your lips
Sugar can be just as useful for chapped and dehydrated lips. Moisten a little sugar with water, then gently massage your lips with this natural exfoliant. Do not push too hard, because the skin of the lips is very sensitive. Finally, apply a moisturizing lip balm.
Natural body scrub
Sugar can be a great choice when it comes to exfoliation, as can coffee. It helps to eliminate dead cells and promotes the absorption of moisturizer into the skin. To make your natural exfoliant, mix one-part coconut oil with two parts sugar.
Don't know how you guys are, but sugar is my drug. I drink coffee and tea with a lot of sugar and eat a lot of suits. It's my guilty pleasure.
I am relieved now, I always have sugar in my house.
