We needed something new and different. I went on medical leave in August due to the stress of office politics, the job and everything. We took our vacation in Italy and it was a good break from everything normal. Then, shortly after my husband took leave. We were both stressed and not working just earning a tiny bit month by month living paycheque to paycheque. It was not an ideal life. I was sick for a while on and off in our first few months of marriage. Taking time off was great I finally sleeping more than three hours, I felt well rested that I have never felt before. The date of returning to work became more and more daunting. I’d have to go back to eating lunch alone and reading my book. The thought seemed so lonely and dark. I can’t trust anyone I work with, so I’d have to cope until I got a different job within the organization. We felt so stuck just same routine come home, watch tv and fall asleep and rinse and repeat.
