Without Consequences
Yesterday Joy had to take a keyboard to the school. Dylan doesn't like much, so when he likes something, we get it for him. Or when we think he likes something. Or when we hope he would like something. Mostly it's the latter one. But we're pretty sure he likes keyboards.

Goodbye Sun
This is what he wanted, and I had to resect that. He isn’t my little boy anymore; he is a grown man willing to sacrifice for his country and that makes me so proud. I remember the day he was born, almost nineteen years ago. Tyler James Banks was born on May 19, 2002, weighing eight pounds and seven ounces. When I held him for the first time, I remember how heavy he felt in my arms. All I could do was cry and pray that I would raise a good man. Now, I look up to this six-foot-tall young man towering above me and wonder where the time has gone.

DO YOU HAVE A TAIL?
Do you have a tail? It was a question asked in all innocence. The expression on the little girl's face made it evident that she was not attempting to be funny. The place, time, and person being questioned made it a very serious moment. That’s when things are the funniest, wouldn’t you agree?! I mean, it’s almost like remembering a funny incident at the funeral of a friend, and getting the giggles! People looking on don’t understand your response at such a sobering time.

The Drifting Child
THE DRIFTING CHILD “Orlanda, Orlanda ,dear child wake up or you will be late for school “Said a faint voice of my mother with a air light stroke to my cheek .The hand was soft as a sheet brushing my cheek, smells sweet as cinnamon drifting in and out of my nose . Just like the pancakes she would wake me up with before school. My mother had the most innocent voice and unforgettable personality .Her love for a humans smile out weighed her own happiness. I always looked up to my mother everyday I would try to make people smile in anyway I could find .My mothers passion was swimming, She swam like a dolphin posed , she loved them dolphins nearly as much as me and father. Now the love my father had for my mother ,it was warm like the desert sun ,it was his power his weapon the love she grew in him was his biggest strength his drive to keep us both safe ,even when days on the police force got him down he would smile with a second in her presents.

The Hour
It reminded Maira of a nail paring on a pitted, uneven kitchen table, the ship on the horizon did. So light of weight, so slight. As easy to flick away as that shred of nail. As easy to chase away with a well-timed breath or curse, right on to the equally wavy floor where Hungry, the dog, would pounce on the nasty sliver with her aptly named jaws.

Re-Mommy’d at 45
When I became pregnant at 44, after an end of first trimester miscarriage a year before, my second husband and I were terrified to be happy. Going to the Dr did absolutely nothing to comfort us. I am writing this article today, on our sons 3rd Birthday.
