Children: Our most valuable natural resource.
Life, LOL-berty, and The Pursuit of Happiness
As a little girl, I spent endless hours acting out stories with my Barbie dolls. With working parents, and sisters who were old enough to avoid hiring a sitter (but who never gave me the time of day) my childhood life was often solitary. When I was at home, it was just me and my dolls.

Say Hello to the Zenkis
Breezes blow cats purr low rivers flow and I sew zenkis. Say hello to the zenkis Seven years ago sounds a long time. Even to me. And I’ve been teaching sewing to kids for almost thirty years now. But it was seven years ago that I created my first zenki. That act of creation was a turning point, a corner that I could never have seen around. Stay At Home Dad To Be
Men are not taught how to be parents, not in the same way that women are. In many aspects of our society today, women are still expected to be mothers. Even if they are already career women or single women they are also expected to be career mothers and single mothers. Motherhood is something ingrained, for better or for worse, in the way that we raise and treat women.

Passion, Love, and Care
As a little kid I was obsessed with scissors and cutting things with them, paper, crayons, clothes, pencils, hair, anything I could get my hands on, much to my parent's dismay. Fast forward to today, my graduation ceremony looming, gifts for teachers laying about and a graduation gift for my father, my love of cutting hasn't halted in its tracks.
