The Importance of Music in Our Lives
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flights to the imagination and life to everything.”— Plato As I sit in the reclining dental chair, waiting for my routine dental check-up to begin, I listen to the background sound of children’s music coming from the speakers.

Quinceanera Vs Sweet 16s –Divergence of Mexican and American Cultures What is the Difference Between the Two
"Where there is a woman, there is magic" - Ntozake Shange As Shange comments, it is indeed special to be a woman. To possess strength, joy, ambition, and all things positive should make you feel extraordinary. There is no doubt that each woman is different, their abilities and strengths are all different but one factor remains common, the desire to celebrate womanhood. When a girl child is born into a family, it fills everyone with goodness. To experience a little girl turning into a woman is an emotional experience for parents and close ones. Many traditions are celebrated across the world to celebrate womanhood. Two such famous traditions are Quinceaneras and Sweet Sixteen Birthdays.

Speak
Speak By Ashley Michael Day Based on a True Story… Donna hated noise. She had hated it for as long as she could remember. Which was a very long time. She had a brilliant memory. She could remember everything she had done on any date. No matter how minute the detail. It was, "How her brain was built," her father would tell her. That was his answer for everything. Not that Donna agreed with him. They had never discussed it. They didn't discuss anything. She had never spoken to her father. Not once. Not a single word. Not in the whole ten years and seven months they'd known each other. But that was okay with him. Afterall, It was how her brain was built.

Alice's Kids is the Nation's Answer to Poverty Outcasting
I grew up in a comfortable, secure household, never wanting for the bare necessities of life. I didn’t have to, because they were always there. I wore relatively new clothing, and my appearance never made me stand out amongst the sea of students from middle to upper-middle-class households. And yet still, I was often on the receiving end of criticism. Maybe my jeans were a little too tight, or a shirt I wore was a bit too busy.

Sleep Like a Toddler. Top Story - January 2022.
I was one of those mothers that constantly felt overwhelmed by societal recommendations for child care and wellness. I wanted to do everything right for my son from the time I found out I was pregnant. I avoided unhealthy foods at all costs; even those deli meat sandwiches I would have so loved to enjoy. I ate oatmeal, nuts, fresh fruits, vegetables, etc. instead. I held steadfast to my daily exercise routine, and incorporated more pregnancy friendly exercises. I signed up for newsletters from various child wellness sites, and began reading “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”

5 Lessons My Four-Year-Old Niece Taught Me
If you didn't know, I have love and admiration for my nieces. I learn something from them every time I see them. In many ways, they're a blessing to their parents, but they've been a blessing in my life. I enjoy spoiling them rotten and showing them unconditional love and affection. I plan on being the aunt they love to be around, and they can trust and get advice from since Nylah, the one-year-old, can't hold a conversation; I want to turn my attention to my four-year-old niece Islah.

Am I a Nincompoop?
Am I a Nincompoop? (A Sequel to So, What is a Flibberty Gibbit?) by Belinda Flack The day after Jake and Jimmy returned from the woods, Jake excitedly told his friends, the other elves, all about how Brian showed him how to use nonsense words to help him feel better. They didn’t understand what Jake was trying to tell them because none of them knew exactly what anxiety was, most of them said that they’d never even heard of it before. Jake was thinking that perhaps they were too embarrassed to admit that they’ve ever felt that way too, that’s really what he was secretly hoping because he didn’t want to be the only one that had those uncomfortable feelings.
