What Kids Really Prefer for Christmas!
So Christmas and the holidays are upon us and there is no denying corporations, businesses big and small alike, are all taking advantage of this time to sell their products to us, but most importantly using our kids as bait. So as any loving parent, I spent the last few months asking my kids what they wanted for Christmas because honestly, I don't want my kids to be the ones with nothing to tell or show their friends when they return to school.

I sat there uncomfortably in the chair that felt as though I was sitting upon a flat rock. The room was loud and chaotic. There as food everywhere and my clothes were completely ruined. You are probably wondering how I got here... Let me explain the story.

Happy Birthday Son
It seems like just yesterday I was being admitted into the hospital, the doctor afraid that I was having a stroke, trying to keep my son from coming early. He was born that next morning. He was premature and he was only 4 lbs at birth. At first, I was scared to even change his diaper because I didn't want to hurt him, his body so fragile I didn't want to break his bones. It's funny how you think when they are first born.

A Letter from Hurt Kids to Their Daddy
Dear Daddy, why did you leave us? We had so much in our lives we wanted to share with you. We want to know what its like to be called your kids, to have family dinners, and to have a family game night. We want you for our field trips, school plays, programs, JROTC events, and strings concerts. You are not here for any of these things. You are not here to take us to the park, movies, or arcades. You are not here to teach us to shoot a gun, how to fish, or how to camp. You are not here to play Santa, to make us believe in miracles, and to make us believe in love. You are not here to ask us about our day. You are not here to give us relationship advice. You are not here to hear us vent. You are not here for Parent's Day, Father's Day, go to work with your parent day, our birthdays, Christmas, or Thanksgiving. You barely know our lives; we barely know ours. We watch our mom being alone on Valentine's Day and anniversaries—wishing that you were here.

Mother Knows Best. Top Story - December 2018.
Every summer the rising heat brings the wave of headlines reading “Another Child Left to Die in Hot Car,” and the masses screaming, “What is wrong with people?! How could they be so careless?” Which leads me to think, everybody gets so distressed about people leaving their babies in hot cars because dozens of children perish every year. It's common sense to NOT DO THAT, right? So why is it that we still practically condone things like unsafe sleep, feeding, and car seat habits when THOUSANDS of children are dying?

How the Comper Smart Fertility Tracker Helps You Get Pregnant Faster
Getting pregnant isn't as easy as television shows make it out to be. Most people who try to conceive rarely ever get blessed within the first month that they are trying to have a child. In fact, studies show that it can take months to be able to get pregnant—and that's when you're actively trying.

I Tried the BlueSmart mia2: The Smart Baby Feeding Monitor That Tracks Temperature, Schedule & More
As a first time parent, I'll admit I'm far from perfect. I thought it would be an easy transition into fatherhood, mostly because my wife makes raising a newborn look fairly rudimentary. I guess that's just what motherly instinct is, because I have had no such luck in making the transition.

Don't Get a C-Section
I am 31 years old and my husband is 36. We are trying to conceive. My cervix is posterior, which means sperm can't reach the opening. I want to have a family, but there is danger in pregnancy and childbirth. I am scared. Would I be a good mother? How long would it take me to heal? I have seen so many women in my life give birth to gorgeous babies and yet I am still worried about the pain and recovery time. The US doesn’t have many companies that have paid maternity leave. My husband and I found a fertility clinic and we are meeting with a physician in the end of January. We are still going to go for it because you are never truly ready for anything.

The Unexpected
For weeks, I sat and contemplated possible where do I begin with my first blog? Me, being meticulous and Type A personality, I write everything down. So, in my notebook went writing (ideas). However, none seemed to be fitting for my first blog. Writing about the holiday seemed so cliché. So I pressed paused and hoped something would come to me.

9 Reasons Mom-Shaming Needs to Stop
I haven’t even given birth to my son yet and I have already been mom shamed for certain decisions I am making with my pregnancy, nursery, life as a mother, etc. I have always dreamed of being a mother and felt it was part of my reason for being. I didn’t realise how hard I would find pregnancy and the coming to terms with the fact it was actually happening. The life changing decision to have a child REALLY is a life changing one, every single person I know has had a different journey with parenthood, and it is time we stopped shaming people for doing things "differently" to our perceived perfect picture of parenting.
