Fond Memories
“C’mon, Nancy, you can do it,” Nancy says to herself as she jabs at the keys on the keyboard. Obviously, the computer is not doing what Nancy wants it to do. She starts mumbling under her breath, feeling even more frustrated that she has not been able to accomplish what she needs to get done.

A Wright Thanksgiving
Now that the funeral was over, Hope Street’s Annual Fall Festival had ended, and Thanksgiving was around the corner, The Wright Family needed a dose of happiness. Reverend Matthew Wright, Senior was eighteen months into his second marriage to the lovely Alyse Wright and continued to acclimate her to the Wright Family customs. Alyse witnessed some of the Wrights' customs as Matthew’s fiancé; however, things have changed, and expectations expanded now that she was his wife. A Letter to Nia
The silence was deafening as the boxes were loaded into the moving truck. Twenty-five years of marriage were over. My mom, Laura, stood motionless in the front room staring out the window as the movers carried boxes and furniture out of the house she shared with my dad for most of her life. They were married right after high school, both at 18 years old. She was the only child. Her mom passed away her senior year of high school and left everything to her. She never knew her dad. He left when she was three years old. Once she graduated high school, her and dad got married and lived in a house that together. My dad was always a loner and never talked about his family. I always had questions, but never pushed it.

Some of their family members didn’t think so, they were arguing about making it happen and it was like a dream that ends in a dream to them.

Michael rushed out the door, late for an important meeting again. He grabbed his overcoat and threw it over his arm. It was going to be a cold one, or so the news said. The sun was shining and it felt like it was nearly forty degrees outside. Hell, there were even birds singing and chirping in the morning sunlight.

Circle 'M'
An angry woman is vindictive beyond measure, and hesitates at nothing in her bitterness. ~Jean Antoine Petit-Senn Laney swiped away the rivulet of perspiration snaking its way down the side of her face. The July heat blowing through the open windows of her dilapidated pick-up truck pooled ever thicker as she eased the truck to a stop and killed the engine.

Paddy's Journal: The Lady of Ophilia
Winter. 22nd December 1990. 6:55pm. Illinois. Paddy, aged fourteen, sits at his desk gazing out of the window. The biggest blizzard Illinois has seen in decades; roads are nowhere to be seen, the golden rays of light from the streetlamps beam across the street, creating a warm, homey, wintery scene. The cheer of children outside launching snowballs at each other like cannonballs is heard. Paddy lets off a sigh.
