Parenting Wars
Do or do not - there is no try. The ins and outs of one of the most difficult jobs on earth: parenting.
Motherhood
Motherhood is beautiful. It's been my mantra since having my son. I remind myself all the time that my job as a mom is more important to me than anything. Motherhood is one of those things that gets put down so much in our communities. We don't value it as much as our grandparents used to.

Golden Girl’s Guide to Surviving Your Cherub Morphing Into Satan
So we’ve all heard the horror stories from our emotionally harassed friends who have the blessing of being mummy (or indeed daddy, let's not leave the guys out here!) to a demanding toddler. Most of us at one point or another have been a shoulder to cry on for that friend who hasn’t had chance to wash her hair in days (no biggie... dry shampoo was invented for a reason!) because her beloved minion has had 8 million consecutive meltdowns so mama’s shower time never quite happened. We’ve probably passed the Chardonnay whilst thinking “shit what is she doing wrong?! My kids will NEVER behave like that!” Because it’s all in the parenting right?! ... Wrong!!!! Believe me, you can be the most lax parent going or you can parent like Jo Frost after 20 cans of Red Bull... If your darling offspring chooses to assert his or herself by channelling Satan at an ear splitting level then they will... whatever you do!!! So the key is learning how to keep your sanity when the shit gets real!!

How to Wake Up a Sleeping Teen
One of the most puzzling creatures on planet Earth are those who come into this world as human babies. These small creatures move about within the female as they form and have plenty of room to move around and kick. In fact, upon their first appearance on their planet, they come complete with an extension cord (I think doctors call them umbilical these days, but who are they fooling? Everybody knows that babies are still attached to their moms until they reach 35). Certainly, if the Creator had enough room for those things, He could've easily added an instruction book, couldn't he?

Switching to Cloth Diapers
Before I was pregnant with my first born and currently only child, Delilah, I started researching the best alternatives for everything that her skin would come in contact with. I didn’t purchase Johnson & Johnson products, Orajel, chest rubs, or anything that had even a slight negative review for fear that it would harm my child. But what I forgot to research was disposable diapers and alternatives for them. Was that possible? Did they make organic diapers? The Honest Company’s disposable diapers were the only chemical-free ones that I found but the prices were outrageous for our budget. Besides, some still claimed that they weren’t as chemical free as the company had claimed. I was at my wit's end until I found cloth diapers.

How Can Scheduling a Weekly Family Meeting Aide in Your Family's Success
I get it. You are a single parent with a jammed packed schedule. Between working one, maybe two, jobs outside of the home, driving the kiddies to their various activities, and trying to stay on top of daily household chores, you may already be feeling swamped or overwhelmed. So, why on earth would I be asking you to consider adding a weekly family meeting to your “to do” list? Well, holding weekly family meetings is a brilliant way to establish your family’s unique household management system.

Ways to De-Stress Your Toddler
Toddlers are just as prone to stress as adults, but the younger the child is, the less they are going to understand what is going on. Which will probably make them even more stressed out, and that is just the beginning of a very long day for everyone.

Why Can’t We Be Friends?
Divorce is mean. There’s no way around it. Even in amicable separations (which I was not fortunate enough to have), it feels like failure. Either you failed them, or they failed you. And when everyone is preaching to move on, when they do it’s heart wrenching.

Being a Parent With Anxiety
Being a parent with anxiety is a struggle. Always worrying, never being able to stop the never-ending train of thought; at times it may seem like too much to bear. Like you're drowning in a sea of self- doubt. You worry whether or not you're doing it right, or questioning whether you're a good parent. It seems like no matter what you do you're constantly asking yourself if you made the right decision. Dealing with anxiety alone is a struggle. But being a parent with an anxiety disorder is a whole different ballgame. As a parent with an anxiety disorder, I can personally relate to all of the above. And if you find yourself in the same boat, you know it's not easy. It's an everyday struggle. And it doesn't get any easier. But there are ways to cope. Whether you are taking medication or not, these are all things we worry about when raising children.

First Year Survival Guide
Okay, first of all; there is no survival guide... Seriously. I wasted too much money and time on baby books. Put them down. Throw them away. Or keep them to wipe your postnatal tears with, whatever. But they are useless. Fuck them off.

Moms
I became a mom in 2018. Before I had my baby, I never realized how hard moms had it. Not only is there a struggle to be the best mom you can be, there are also people surrounding you thinking they should give “good” advice. There are people around you judging every move you make.
