The word criminology was not defined until 1885 by Raffaele Garofalo. Even though the word was not coined until 1885, criminology and criminal justice have been in society for many years. Adler et al. (2018) explain that the earliest code of law known by society was the code of Hammurabi in 1972. Throughout these years, there have been many criminologists, theorists, and other important individuals that have shared their ideas of criminology and the meaning of criminal justice.

Katrina
Prologue Kat stood there. Her head held high with her sword held even higher. She finally felt free, felt alive. This was the moment she was dying for. Sadly, it may take her dying in the end to get it. As Katrina, Kat, stood tall on the broken stones the warm wind pushed against her. Making her brown curly hair fly up with it. Blood covered her purple and gold warriors outfit. The blood of her enemies, her friends, her loved ones, even strangers who fought alongside her. Her sun-kissed skin glowed as the light hit her in just the right way.

After they entered the casino, Jeremy Strohmeyer walked into a women’s restroom at the casino. Upon entrance, Mr. Strohmeyer forced himself on to a seven-year girl. Soon after Mr. Strohmeyer started his offense, David Cash walked into the bathroom and witnessed this altercation.

Mystic
My name is Mystic Rose May, most people call me Rosy. Some others call me Missy. Ever since I was little I could see and hear the supernatural. Those things most people think are fictional, they are not. At least to me, they are real. Ever since I was a little girl I saw ghosts. At least at the time, I thought they were ghosts or demons. Most were good, but others were not. I could feel an evil presence when some were near. These ghosts, demons, here to wreak havoc on anything they could. Over the years I learned to block out these things I thought to be ghosts. I was too afraid to deal with them.

Evolution
A theory is an idea that is used to explain something. An example of a theory would be Darwin’s theory of evolution, or Darwinism. According to Charles Darwin, random mutations constantly change all living things. (Masci 747) This mutation can explain the theory of evolution. In 1859, Darwin published a book, On the Origin of Species. Darwin’s book focuses on his theory of evolution. Religious individuals, including teachers and scientists, doubted Darwin’s theory. (Masci 747) Since certain teachers are in disbelief of Darwin’s theory, this sparked a debate on what to teach future generations. We should not confuse facts with our beliefs and opinions. We need to teach kids about Darwin's theory of evolution.

Today, pornography is everywhere, even in public libraries. It is possible to view pornography anywhere, whether it is in books, movies, or the world wide web. Pornography is very easily accessible through the internet. Many people who like to view pornography use public libraries to search for sexual images or information. This is an enormous problem for many individuals because they feel it is a very private subject. In the 1990s, only a few libraries used software filters to block library patrons from viewing pornography. Libraries everywhere should use software filters to stop their patrons from using their computers to view pornography.

My Experience with Thrive
This article is to tell you all about Thrive and my experience with Thrive. First, let me tell you about myself. My name is Courtney, and I am nineteen years old. I have a little boy who is currently four months old. Before I was pregnant, I weighed one hundred and eighteen pounds. Right after I had my baby, I weighed one hundred and fifty pounds. I now weigh one hundred and thirty pounds thanks to Thrive. I heard about Thrive a few months ago through a friend of mine on Facebook. I do admit that I had some questions and doubts about Thrive. After I looked at her Facebook and I saw all her before and after photos, I decided I wanted to give Thrive a try. I am so happy I made this choice. Not only is it helping me lose weight, it is helping me be a better person!

My Mom, My Super Woman
My name is Courtney, and I am 19 years old. My mom’s name is Betty, and she is 42 years old. She will be 43 years old this month. She has three kids, and raised us all as a single mom. She did it all by herself. My mom has done everything for me. She has been a single mom for years. She struggled for everything she gave us. She did not have everything, and she knew that. She did not care. My mom went through hell or high water to get anything we needed, anything we wanted.

I became a mom in 2018. Before I had my baby, I never realized how hard moms had it. Not only is there a struggle to be the best mom you can be, there are also people surrounding you thinking they should give “good” advice. There are people around you judging every move you make.
