How to STOP Waking Up Feeling TIRED Every Morning
How frequently do you genuinely feel invigorated when you wake up? How often a week do you wake up when your alarm goes off instead of using the snooze button? There is nothing worse than going to bed early and waking up yet feeling worn out. The amount of fatigue you experience in the morning depends on a variety of variables, and you undoubtedly have some bad habits that sap your vitality. We'll look at some of the strategies you should use to get a good night's sleep so that you can wake up early. Let's get going. 1. Quit sleeping You don't actually get more sleep when you snooze. You don't feel much better about waking up as a result. Actually, it offers you no advantages. You wake up more exhausted each time you use the snooze button. This is due to the 90-minute cycles that make up our sleep. Your alarm wakes you up in the middle of your sleep cycle when you snooze for such a brief period of time, making you feel even more exhausted and lethargic. My suggestion is to utilize the "Sleep Cycle" app. This app wakes you up at the conclusion of your sleep cycle. It does this by monitoring your movements throughout the night and only sounds the alarm when it realizes you have reached the end of the cycle. Compared to waking up in the middle of your REM period, this method of awakening will leave you feeling considerably more energised. 2. Get adequate rest Our bodies require a specific amount of sleep each day in order to function effectively. You probably already know this, but we frequently get either too little or too much sleep. This may sound silly. We have irregular bedtimes, which may be one of the causes of this. We go to bed at 10 p.m. one night and 3 a.m. the next.However, you should wake up and go to bed at the same hour every day of the week. By doing this, you train your body to wake up naturally at the end of each sleep cycle every day. Additionally, the quantity of sleep needed by each individual to feel energised varies. Put yourself to bed at the same time each night for a week to determine how many hours you personally require to wake up feeling rested. Without setting an alarm, get out of bed and jot down how long you slept each night. You should be able to determine how many hours you require to wake up and have a productive day by the end of the week. Then, you can use this knowledge to determine when you should go to bed and wake up. 3. Rehydrate and stimulate blood circulation You must hydrate yourself as soon as possible in the morning. You'll become naturally dehydrated after 6 to 8 hours without drinking, and dehydration makes you feel tired. I put a glass of water on my bedside every single day before I go to sleep. In this manner, the water will be ready for me when I awaken. To restore the water you lost while you were sleeping, the goal is to rehydrate your body and mind as quickly as possible.People frequently need more water, not more coffee, when they are feeling fatigued, whether it is in the morning or the afternoon. Light exercise right after you wake up is another crucial action to take. Your energy levels will increase with any physical activity that increases your heart rate and blood flow. Contrary to popular belief, regular exercise really helps your body produce energy rather than making you fatigued, according to studies. Even if you feel too exhausted to do anything, stand up and move around the room. After a few minutes, you'll notice that you have more energy than you did before.It is not necessary to perform an intense activity. There is no requirement to run a marathon before breakfast. What I often do is some stretching, followed by burpees and jumping jacks. 4. Avoid using screens before bed. Artificial blue light is produced by the screens on your computer, smart phone, and TV. Artificial light in the evening is problematic because it confuses your body into believing that it is daytime. Your body naturally creates melatonin, a sleep hormone, as the day grows darker outside. Since artificial light prevents the body from producing melatonin, it can seriously disrupt sleep because your body is unable to tell your cells that it is time for bed. You should avoid gazing at screens for at least two hours before night because of this. Because you need to get up early, if you're watching this video on your phone at 2am, well. Tomorrow you should put this advice into practice and perhaps swap your phone for a good book. There is a solution to the blue light issue for those of you who are unable to go without your phone or computer before night. Installing the Twilight and F.lux applications on your PC and phone is a good idea. What they do is make your screen more orange, which blocks the majority of artificial blue light. The nicest part is that neither is charged.However, you won't use any devices before night if you're committed to resolving your fatigue issue. I'm hoping today taught you something new. However, I'm here to assure you that anxiety disorders are a legitimate condition, just like diabetes. (Music) Dr. Jen Gunter's segment on "Body Stuff" Hello again. Dr. Jen here. I've noticed a trend among my patients. They frequently go over some of the typical signs of an anxiety condition with me. Constant anxiety, sleep issues, tense muscles, and difficulty concentrating.However, they are not receiving care. In this nation, there are numerous problems with mental health care. Some folks lack the necessary insurance to cover it. Some people don't think getting aid will benefit them because they have previously been reduced or disregarded. Some people are concerned with the stigma and whether it would influence potential careers or relationships. But having excessive anxiety is not a moral or character flaw. Like diabetes or strep throat, it is a health issue. It needs to be taken seriously in the same way. Let's first discuss anxiety itself before moving on to anxiety disorders. The very real and common emotion we experience in a difficult environment is anxiety. It has to do with fear.However, unlike anxiety, which is a response to less certain threats and typically lasts far longer, fear is a reaction to an immediate threat that swiftly passes. All of this is a part of the threat detection system that all animals possess to some extent in order to help defend us against predators. The brain's amygdala, a pair of almond-shaped nerve bundles that signal other brain regions to be prepared for protective action, is where anxiety begins. The signal is then passed on by the hypothalamus, which causes our body to go into what is known as the stress reaction. Our respiration and pulse rate quicken, our muscles strain, and our blood pressure rises.Your brain stem activates certain regions, putting you in a state of high attentiveness. This reaction is the fight-or-flight reaction. With the help of the ventromedial prefrontal cortex, a region of higher-level thinking, the fight-or-flight response can be kept somewhat under control. This is how it functions. The amygdala gets the message to run if a person encounters something they perceive as dangerous, like a tiger. Hey, look, the ventromedial prefrontal cortex can communicate with the amygdala. In a cage is the tiger. You are aware of what a cage is. A cage prevents them from escaping. It's okay to relax. It's a feedback loop that can aid in controlling the response. Hippocampus involvement is also seen. By mentioning something like, "Hey, we've seen tigers in cages before," it gives context. In a zoo we are. You are especially secure. These threat-detection systems, as well as the mechanisms that lessen or prevent them, malfunction when we experience anxiety, which makes us worry about the future and our safety in it. However, it goes into overdrive for a lot of folks. They have ongoing, all-pervasive anxiety that interferes with their relationships, employment, and education and causes them to avoid situations that can exacerbate their symptoms. Disorders of anxiety are very frequent. Researchers estimate that roughly 16 percent of people either presently have or have had an anxiety problem based on data from the World Mental Health Survey. These include phobias, agoraphobia, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and others. According to studies, those who suffer from anxiety disorders don't simply respond to stress in a different way. There might be genuine variances in the way each person's brain functions. The amygdala's connections to other areas of the brain may become confused, according to one hypothesis. Anxiety-related neural circuits get stronger. And the pathways get stronger the more anxious you are, creating a vicious cycle.The good news is that anxiety can be treated, so you don't have to endure it. Don't forget, this is not about being weak. It has to do with altering brain patterns, and studies have shown that this is something that is possible throughout life. Doing the fundamentals is a solid first step. Because your mind is an extension of your body, eat a balanced diet, exercise frequently, and get plenty of sleep. Try meditation; it might be beneficial. With mindfulness and breathing, we can reduce the fight-or-flight response and enhance how we feel right now instead of our heart rate increasing and our body tensing.Talk therapy in the form of cognitive behavioral therapy is also very good. It teaches you how to recognize distressing thoughts and evaluate their viability. Cognitive behavioral therapy can gradually restore the brain connections that control the anxiety response. Long-term and short-term relief are both possible with medication. Anti-anxiety medications have the short-term ability to slow down overactive threat detection processes.Studies have demonstrated that cognitive behavioral therapy and long-term medicines can both lessen the overactivity of the amygdala that we associate with anxiety disorders. Diabetes and high blood pressure are conditions that can be managed or treated over time. The same holds true for anxiety disorders as well.

It won't make your skin more radiant, you feel more clear-headed, or you feel more energised. However, it might cause you to urinate frequently. However, the reality is that you may make wiser decisions when you are aware of how your systems work. You're less likely to believe hype or dubious science.You'll feel more capable of comprehending what's actually happening. The misconception that you need eight glasses of water a day truly irritates me. Really, it's quite astounding how deeply ingrained it is. You see it in articles and hear it on television. But like I stated, it is absurd. Generally speaking, your body will let you know when you need to drink water since you have kidneys, which are beautiful, magnificent, and underappreciated organs. The bean-shaped organs known as kidneys are situated on either side of your spine, just below your ribs. The kidneys deserve better than to be viewed as a filter or a system for getting rid of waste. Everything in your body, including the fluids and chemicals, must be in a precise balance. When it comes to maintaining this balance, the kidneys do most of the work. Your body's blood flows through the kidneys on a daily basis. Your body's state is influenced by a variety of factors, including what you eat and drink, the environment's temperature, and how much exercise you get. Your nervous system, numerous hormones, and your kidneys are constantly monitoring gauges and making real-time adjustments to fluid, salt, and other material levels. Nephrons, which are a million in number, are used to do this. To ensure that the body maintains homeostasis, or balance, these nephrons act much like employees on a conveyor belt, actively adding and removing substances like sodium, glucose or sugar, calcium, amino acids, and water. Anytime any quantity is out of balance, it might be dangerous. The kidneys' function is to keep the amounts of several of these compounds in the ideal range. Unneeded substances leave the kidney and travel to the bladder, where you eliminate them as urine. So how does drinking eight glasses of water each day fit in? Not at all. You'll note that I did not say that drinking too much water enhances renal function. Consider that you are losing water from your blood because you are perspiring a lot. Your kidneys are aware of a very little decrease in blood volume and a very slight increase in blood saltiness. They make up for it by reabsorbing more water into the blood, which increases the concentration of the urine. You are alerted to drink, i.e., you become thirsty, if the kidneys determine that sufficient amounts of fluid cannot be reabsorbed from the urine. The message of thirst intensifies if you don't have access to fluids. Real dehydration will not leave a person uncertain of their need for water. They'll take any measure necessary to obtain it.One of our most fundamental impulses, it developed over a very long time in situations when clean water wasn't quite as accessible as it is now. Your body is therefore very adept at keeping hydration thanks to your kidneys. How much water should you be drinking if you stop counting the eight glasses you should drink each day? There is no should, is the straightforward reply. Whenever you get thirst, sip some water. Your body can be trusted.
