The training data is used to train the model, while the testing data is used to evaluate its performance. Let's assume that after training and testing, the data scientist achieves an accuracy of 95%, which is considered good. Now, when the project is deployed and users start using it, the data scientist notices that the accuracy rarely exceeds 70%.
