Preliminary Exam Pattern for RBI Assistants in 2022
- There will be a total of 100 questions, and three sections: English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
- The RBI Assistant Prelims Exam takes 60 minutes to complete.
- For each wrong response 0.25 marks will be deducted, but there will be no deduction for unanswered questions.
- Objective questions will be asked.
- The remaining sections will be in English and Hindi, with the exception of the English Language component.

Exam Pattern for RBI Assistant Mains in 2022
- There will be 200 questions in all: English, quantitative aptitude, computer knowledge, general awareness, and reasoning ability.
- The RBI Assistant Mains Exam takes 135 minutes to complete. The timing for each section is listed below.
- There will be a 0.25 negative marking for each wrong response, but there will be no deduction for unanswered questions.
- Objective questions will be asked.
- Other than the English Language section, all other sections will be in English and Hindi.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) 2022
Candidates who have been provisionally selected from the main online examination will be required to take a language competence test (LPT). The language competence test will be conducted in the state's official / local language, as listed below. Candidates who do not speak the official or local language fluently shall be disqualified.
Only those candidates who score high in merit based on the aggregate marks of the main online examination will be summoned for the Language Proficiency Test. Such merit will be determined by the Bank in relation to the number of notified vacancies to be filled.
