Many times when a child reaches the age of 20, they are no longer covered by their parents' insurance and this can lead to a troubling situation if they are not working and just strictly going to college. However, many colleges offer health insurance plans. Whether one of these insurance plans are right for you or not takes a lot of deliberation.

Teaching In COVID Times
This year has been challenging for everyone. I started teaching online when COVID struck to keep earning and paying bills. In the middle of this I went from one side of the US to the other. Online work just made sense with everything going on. Part of the cross country travel was moving to the middle of nowhere. My family was getting away from the craziness that is people right now. We want to be mostly off the grid. There is no internet where I now live. There is barely cell service. When we get our house built we plan on having internet, but not much else. My state is still mostly shut down, including the library. Through the summer it was nice to teach outside in the park. I was using my phone as a hotspot and teaching that way. Then winter set in. The park was no longer an option. Snow started falling and temperatures were rarely above 50 in the middle of the day. As much as I love the outdoors, I don't do well with cold. I had so much trouble finding a place to teach. I don't have many friends in the area as I just moved here. I tried the local college, but I'm not a student or professor. I tried the library, but they don't allow any seating at the moment. Chain coffee shops were not helpful. Everyone I talked to, I asked for ideas. Not a single idea panned out. Not a single person gave me any information about when things might change. Not a single person was any help at all. I was about ready to give up and stop teaching altogether. I didn't want to. Teaching was and is my only source of income. Then I ran across a little local coffee shop. They were doing everything they could to stay open and help as many people as possible. It is by the college so they have a lot of college students that use it to study and hang out. They have let me use a corner of the bar. There is a plug on the other side of the bar that my computer is plugged in at. The WiFi is nice and fast. They have saved my teaching career. I love this place. They try to keep the noise down when they know I'm in class. I don't think I could keep teaching without them. I have only been coming here a couple weeks, but they all know me already and are learning how I like my tea. I have a feeling it won't be long before they have it sitting ready for me when I come in. Its not just me they are here for. The students that come in to study are left in peace. For this shop its not just about making a buck. Its about making a difference in the community. They know all the regulars by name. They are doing everything they can to stay open in these rough times. I would say they treat their customers like family, but that has come to mean something different than it did for me growing up. They treat us like the best family in the world. One of the first times I was in here I had trouble finding a plug. The barista helped me look and then when we couldn't find one where I was sitting, she helped me move my stuff to a spot with a plug so my computer wouldn't die. All of the employees have been helpful and nice.

The best way to learn Japanese.
So you might be a nerd and you want to learn some Japanese? Maybe you have actual business to do in Japan. Or maybe you just want to enjoy your favorite form of entertainment (*cough* anime *cough*) in its native language. It doesn't matter the reason - I have always thought that learning is important by itself, you don't need a reason to study theoretical quantum mechanics and you don't need a reason to study Japanese, Chinese, or ancient sanskrit. The joy of learning can be enough too.

I stole books for the kids
I was assigned to teach sixth-grade science at Lynwood Middle School. My classroom was T-42. T stood for the trailer. The population of the school was so high that there were not enough classrooms in the building to house all the students. As a result, converted trailers were placed on the football field and used as classrooms. I don’t remember how many trailers there were out there but considering that I was in T-42 we can assume that there were at least forty-one other trailers in the field.

How the Indian Education System is killing students?
Beginning Only after a few years of your childhood freedom, most of India's children are dumped into a school that teaches nothing apart from academics. Most of the schools have almost no facilities for music, dance or sports activities, now as the school doesn’t have these facilities a child never gets exposed to them completely. Even though a child expresses his interest in some extra-curricular activities that he considers worth pursuing, it is either suppressed by their parents or school due to lack of facilities. He also starts to wonder that most people are only studying in academic institutions, which means other activities are not good career options. He ultimately suppresses his interest. The prime problem arises from a lack of exposure. If one never gets exposed to various things in life, he’ll never know either he likes it or not.

School Is Useless
School is almost completely useless. Whether this is an unpopular opinion or not it needs to be heard and spread because I almost guarantee that at least 80% of students agree with me on this. Take my privileges, take my car, take my gaming, take my phone, take whatever, but your doing it wrong. I know you parents and adults will look down on my opinions on this because I’m a 16 year old kid that knows nothing of the world and should be an immature teenager but one of these times you will realize and so will all the other parents of the world that this is the wrong way to go about things and almost every single kid in the school will back me up and vouch me on this. Thousands, hundreds of thousands of kids will back me on this across the country. School is so pointless it’s ridiculous, it teaches you absolutely nothing worth knowing or keeping in my brain. Everything I learn for a history test gets forgotten the next day. Every math concept forgotten the next year. If I ask any parent a quote in quote “basic” history question about some war in 1912 or whatever year about why when where and how it happened you don’t know that. Yet I think any parent would 100% tell me that history is an important subject that is needed in life. Teachers over and over say your gonna need this on the test, when am I gonna need this in life. I know I’m not the only one that thinks this because I have friends that have shared my stories with all this stuff on it and texting me that this is facts and that they agree. I’m just the one willing to put it out there and stand up for what I believe, isn’t that what you parents teach us. The world is evolving every day and the practice of teaching hasn’t changed one bit since the 1800's. You can send me to in person school but you will just make my life more miserable, I have all the same resources that I use to “procrastinate” at school that I do at home. When I’m not writing essays, not doing my math homework and missing zooms, I’m not gaming or watching pointless videos on YouTube or Netflix. I sit at my desk and learn about things that interest me, such as finances, learn how to do taxes, invest, how to read the stock market or how to become a digital marketer. Multiple things which need to be taught in life, but I sit in school and learn about what war happened in what time, at what place and why. Instead of teaching these actually essential things in school I am left to learn them on my own. I understand your frustration about grades and school but whether you like it or not it’s not interesting or worth my time and until someone can explain to me the good of doing that I will continue to fail classes or be an average student. If you wanna take AP classes, be a book worm and you enjoy studying be my guest, work towards MIT and Harvard. That's not me though I’m not gonna sit around and make my life miserable just because that is the standard in life.
