With the sea

The ocean has always been a part of my life, as I was born in a small coastal town. I am one of those lucky people who get to see it every day and enjoy its incredible beauty and power. As a child, my parents took me to the beach and I was immediately struck by its infinite horizon, colors, and waves. Some of my fondest childhood memories are associated with the ocean, which is not surprising since I spent all my free time there. Therefore, the beach is a special place for me, a place where I can be alone with nature, a place where I can spend time with friends. In a way, it is one of my best friends, the one that calms me down when I am sad or stressed, and the one that inspires me with its flawless beauty.
The beach in my town has changed a lot since I was a kid. When I was little, it consisted of sand and pebbles and everything, as well as a long pier that divided it into two parts, simply called "left" and "right". Although these were the same beach, they always seemed different to me. The left side is shorter, but has a better view of the coast and ends at the high red cliffs usually seen when the air is clear. The right side is longer, less curved, and has more pebbles than the left. It is also surrounded by water, as it is washed by the sea on one side and the lake on the other. When I was young, the sea and the lake were sometimes connected by a small channel that usually dried up in the summer. My father used to fish on the lake because it was a peaceful place where people could relax and simply enjoy nature.
However, the sea has always attracted many people, especially in the summer. Residents have started to build cafes and stores near the pier to attract tourists, and the road to the beach eventually became overrun with B&Bs, hotels, and stores. Some people have even built a cafe on the pier, making it a place of loud music and drunken tourists. However, the beach itself remained intact for quite some time. Authorities have built change facilities and toilets there, but they haven't changed the view much. To some extent, the beach is still a great place to spend time, especially if one goes out of their way to leave the pier and all the noise.
However, in the last few years, a local plan has been developed to redevelop the place and make it more accessible and attractive for tourists. As a result, several cafes were built just to the left of the beach. On the right side, the long beach promenade was built, which required cutting down some of the old trees growing there. On both sides of the paved road, many small stores and cafes were built, blocking the sea view. To make matters worse, there are now many beach chairs, umbrellas, and other things designed to make the visitor experience more convenient. The left side of the beach, which has always attracted me with its wilderness and space, has been flooded with tourists who don't even realize how wonderful it is to lie on the hot sand and simply listen to the sound of the waves and seagulls.
I miss those days when I could come to the beach and commune with nature. I used to walk along the shore, looking for the beautiful shells that the waves brought. I could feel the space and freedom that I couldn't find in towns and they have always been a constant source of inspiration for me. It's sad to think that people don't prefer the comfort of the wilderness, the noise to the peace of the sea, and "civilization" to raw nature. I will always miss the beaches I used to love - a world of bliss that I can't stop dreaming about!
