Top 10 reasons why you should live in Vietnam.
Hi! My name is Sergey Sokolov, and I've been traveling the world for 2 years now. Today I want to share my experience of living in Vietnam. I purposefully flew here from Armenia, knowing the many pluses of this country. In Vietnam, the sea is always near, and the warm climate and friendly people create a great atmosphere for living and traveling. But that's not all! In the following sections, I will tell you about other amazing aspects of Vietnam that make it so attractive to live in.

The list of reasons why you should stay longer in Vietnam has been compiled without regard to their importance. Each of them is unique in its own way and can win the heart of a traveler ✈️
Low prices
The cost of living here is significantly lower than in many other countries. For example, I rented a studio apartment for just $250 a month in the best neighborhood in Da Nang, just a five-minute walk from the beach.
Food is also incredibly affordable: fresh fruit, seafood and local specialties can be bought at very low prices. Lunch at a sidewalk café will cost just $1 to $2. Entertainment is inexpensive too, whether it's visiting local attractions, riding a motorcycle or a night out at a bar.
Low rental prices also attract many expats. A one-bedroom apartment can be rented for $200-300 a month, a two-bedroom will cost $350-500, and renting a villa with a pool starts at $800 a month.

Climate
The climate in Vietnam is warm and comfortable all year round. It is especially pleasant in winter, when even in the coldest months the temperature does not drop below 15-20°C. In comparison, in warm Russian cities such as Sochi or Krasnodar, winter temperatures can drop to 0°C and below.

The number of sunny days in various cities in Vietnam is also impressive:
- Hanoi: 140 sunny days per year
- Ho Chi Minh City: 270 sunny days per year
- Da Nang: 215 sunny days per year
- Nha Trang: 250 days of sunshine per year
This abundance of sunshine makes Vietnam a great place to live and vacation, allowing you to enjoy the beaches, sea and outdoors almost all year round. ☀
Good people
In Vietnam, you will meet one of the warmest and most hospitable nations. The locals are always willing to help and share their culture. Their friendliness and openness create a cozy and safe environment, which is important for us foreigners.
Vietnamese people really appreciate respect and politeness. They enjoy meeting new people and are happy to invite you to visit, treat you to a traditional meal or tell you about local customs. This makes it easy to adapt and better understand the culture of the country.
Another trait of the Vietnamese is their hard work ethic. They always try to perform their work to a high standard. This is evident in everything from cooking to cafe service. Their professionalism and attention to detail make life comfortable.
In addition, Vietnamese people are characterized by optimism. They know how to find joy in simple things and keep positive even in difficult situations. This inspires and helps to get used to a new way of life, making each day brighter.

Easy visa requirements
Today Vietnam offers convenient conditions for Russians and citizens of CIS countries, Europeans and residents of the USA, which makes it an attractive destination for a long stay. Visa issuance has become simpler, and now it can be easily obtained via the Internet.
For many citizens, a 45-day visa-free regime is available, which allows you to enjoy the country without a visa. If you need to stay longer, however, a 90-day visa can be made, which costs about $25 .
Juicy fruit and delicious coffee
🍍 There is a real abundance of fresh fruit in Vietnam. Mangoes, papaya, dragon fruit, rambutan, durian - this is just a small part of what you can find in local markets. Thanks to the favorable climate and rich soil, the fruits here are not only diverse, but also very cheap. For a few dollars, you can buy a whole bag of exotic fruits, making the fruits affordable for daily consumption.
🌟 Apart from fruits, Vietnam is famous for its coffee. The country is one of the largest coffee exporters in the world, and the locals are really knowledgeable about this beverage. Vietnamese people love coffee and prepare it in different ways: hot, iced, with condensed milk and even egg coffee.
❄ Iced coffee is especially popular for its refreshing flavor, making it the perfect drink on hot days. You can start every morning here with a cup of flavorful and rich coffee while enjoying the view of the city or the sea. Vietnamese coffee is truly unique and is sure to please even the pickiest of coffee drinkers.

Culture
Vietnam is a country with a unique and rich culture that is worth getting to know better. Traditions live in every corner, from cuisine to folk dances and festivals. The Vietnamese are proud of their history and it shows in their daily life.
Festivals are a special treat. The main holiday is Tet, or Lunar New Year. At this time the streets are decorated with lanterns, people give each other gifts and celebrate the New Year with family. It is a time of happiness and new beginnings. Vietnamese cuisine is also worth a visit: pho, banh mi, spring rolls - you should try it all.
Interesting fact: some rural areas still have rituals to summon rain. Round dances around the field, songs and dances are all considered to be effective ways to attract rain and ensure a good harvest. Vietnam is a place where culture lives and breathes in every moment

Quality of health care
😊 In Vietnam, the quality of healthcare is pleasantly surprising. Local clinics are equipped with modern equipment, and doctors are often trained abroad, which guarantees a high level of services. Here you can get qualified help at affordable prices, which makes medical care attractive to foreigners.
🦷 Dentistry is particularly worth mentioning. In Vietnam, dental services are characterized by high quality and low prices. This is relevant for Russians, where dental treatment can be quite expensive. Vietnamese clinics offer a wide range of services from simple procedures to complex surgeries, all at affordable prices.
🌟 Vietnamese dentists are known for their friendly and attentive approach to patients. They try to create a comfortable environment for everyone who seeks help. This allows you to feel confident and relaxed during your visit to the doctor.

💉 In general, healthcare in Vietnam surprises with its quality and affordability. Here you can not only maintain your health, but also solve complex medical issues without high costs.
Rapid growth of tourist destinations
🌍 Vietnam is rapidly growing as a tourist destination, and it's no wonder. People from the US, Europe, Australia and other countries come here for unique experiences. Beaches, mountains, culture and delicious food all attract travelers from all over the world.
Especially in the last two years, Vietnam has become popular with Russian remote travelers and tourists. Affordable accommodation, excellent internet and a pleasant climate can be found here, making the country an ideal place to work and relax. Many come to enjoy the warm sea, scenic views and the hospitality of the locals.
☕ Because of this increase in tourist visits, the tourism industry has started to grow rapidly. Many coffee shops, restaurants and cafes with a variety of cuisines are opening. This makes Vietnam an even more attractive place to travel and live.
Nature
Vietnam is a true paradise for nature lovers. You can find everything from dense tropical forests and ancient trees to green rice fields and beautiful beaches. The country is unique in its diversity: its ecosystems are home to rare plants and animals, and the scenery is simply mesmerizing.
Vietnam's national parks are a separate story. There you can see such species of plants and animals, which you will not find anywhere else. And all this against the background of stunning nature, which inspires and pleases the eye.
And, of course, the coast of Vietnam. Here you will find winding bays, green hills, cliffs and golden sandy beaches with crystal clear water. Each place is a little piece of paradise.

Attractions
Vietnam is full of unique sights that will leave no one indifferent. For example, Halong Bay, a UNESCO heritage site. With its more than 1,600 limestone islands and picturesque scenery, this place is a must-see.
Equally impressive is Hoi An, an ancient city with narrow streets and traditional architecture. Walking through its streets, it is as if you are transported back in time, feeling the spirit of antiquity and the flavor of local culture.
And, of course, the Kuti Tunnels, which played an important role during the war. This is a whole network of underground passages where you can feel the atmosphere of those times and understand what people went through in those years.
Vietnam has a huge number of attractions that are definitely worth visiting. These are amazing places that you will definitely like and leave a lot of unforgettable impressions.
