The oceans are so amazing and beautiful. I am a diver and enjoy seeing all of the underwater plants and fish. The sea life is so amazing, and the sway of the ocean, with its back and forth, back and forth is such a calming environment. I wish I was a mermaid so I would never run out of air underwater then I could stay beneath the waves forever. The water is everywhere and every moment, there is something beautiful to see, the fish are like birds and the underwater plants, come in so many shapes and sizes, it is like swimming or drifting though an underwater universe with the beauty of nature everywhere. The turtles are so big and the wrecks turn into havens for fish and all sorts of underwater creatures; wrecks grow into underwater reefs and they turn into the most gorgeous places where underwater plants that are a thousand different colors. The sun streaming through the water shines on all of the colors of the underwater gardens. Life flourishes.

In Hawaii, I once dove a Navy tug , and as we swam into the wheelhouse, it was full of purple vines and flowers and there were two sharks inside; they both swam away together out of the portal in the wheelhouse. It was a scene that I think of often, the way the purple plants were swaying in the water.

In Palua, we held on to the reef and watched a parade of sharks swim past us letting the current take them across the reef. Sharks are so amazing, and they look so strong, and healthy. I love the shape of the shark, like submarines with the svelte slender shapes and such big teeth. They are the predators of the deep.

In Palua, I swam towards a huge school of Barricudas and they gathered together with the sun streaming through them and I followed them for awhile because their beauty was so captivating to my heart. You never know what you are going to see in the oceans, it is so stimulating, color and life everywhere.

In Guam, the hard coral reefs go all the way down into the depths. It is like flying down a mountain full of plants and animals. The hard coral reefs are full of beautiful plants and creatures, and so many colors. One of my favorite things is diving caves, they are mysterious and full of color, mostly purple, and they are fascinating to see.

In Palua, we dove a wreck, that had the most colorful huge clams all up and down the mast of the ship. It is so amazing diving a ship because you can just swim over the top. I am retired Navy and when I was on my ship, you could not go over the sides of the ship because then you will fall into the ocean; so swimming over the side of a ship is almost like an illusion.

The oceans, and the underwater realms are another universe on the same planet, our planet. They are so full of life like the rain forest and will take care of us for years to come when we take care of it. The creatures of the deep are depending on us to keep them safe and secure in their underwater heaven. The waters are azure, blue, turquoise, green, and they are all over the world. The oceans are our lifeblood and they are a necessary universe we need to take care of to survive. As humans, we desperately want to survive, that is our primary instinct; survival.

To survive and help our oceans survie, we need to take action to show we care. We need to always recycle all trash so it does not end up in the landfills and make its way into the oceans. We need to pick up the beaches and make them beautiful again. We need to stop overfishing, and let the oceans replenish themselves again, fishermen need to just fish sustainable fishing practices so the fish can replenish and have more babies to repopulate themselves. We need to invest in electric vehicles and solar rooftops. We need to stop relying on gas engines, and reverse the heating up of our beautiful planet. We need to be kind to our earth. Our earth loves us, and we need to stop taking from our planet and our earth and start giving back, we need to replenish and think about what we are doing. Each one of us can make a difference, we can recycle, give money to good causes to save the oceans, turn off our water when we are brushing our teeth. Buy fish only from sustainable companies, we need to understand that each of us can and will make a difference.

We need to give back by taking care of our earth and our oceans. We cannot survive without our oceans, so try to save water, turn off the water when you are brusing your teeth. Try to save electricity by turning off lights you do not need. Try to concentrate on making your footprint smaller, try to not drive so much, ride a bicycle, it is good for your health. You can plant a tree, grow some flowers, and plants, grow some vegetables. They will also produce healthy air. Enjoy nature, enjoy the oceans, enjoy our forests, enjoy our planet because when we take care of this planet, and take care of our oceans, they will return the favor and take care of us. Teach your children to love and understand nature, they will be able to make a difference, show them the way to love our oceans, and our planet and then they will inherit a wonderful future and the oceans and earth will take care of them for centuries to come.
