The Dead and Homeless: Engines of Profit
To a certain subset of our population, the fact that nearly 90,000 rent-stabilized apartments in New York City are deliberately being left vacant while the number of people sleeping in the street balloons is not a glitch. It’s a feature. It’s the point.

While Climate Summit COP27 Will Under-Deliver, The Market Shifts Towards Sustainability Will Accelerate
Background November 2022 was named the month of sustainability given that the COP27 Climate Summit is taking place during this time. These high-level meetings, however, will not produce any breakthrough given the global recession, high inflation, and geopolitical tensions due to Russia’s war in Ukraine. There will continue to be momentum towards the 2050 decarbonization targets, but we will fall short of concrete implementation of the climate commitments to keep the temperature increase to 1.5 C.

A SHARK'S TALE
Right after the Rio de Janeiro Carnival of 2022, two humpback whales went cruising down the Antarctic Circumpolar Current towards the Pacific Ocean. While on their way to Australia - from Brazil - when arriving at the South Pacific Gyre, one humpback whale, by the name of Mordor asked the other humpback whale, “Ooooooh oooooh oooooh?” The other humpback whale, named Morgoth replied, “Eeeeee eeeee eeeee!”

Infinity can usually be as big as you can make it. How far can your imagination extend the world around you is the real limit of the world. For a goldfish in a fishbowl, there are two possible worlds, it can be limited by the glass, or its mind can make it as big as it wants. Bigger even than whatever reality its senses can perceive.

Today’s Tribute to the Rain
Rain, rain, come my way, do not wait another day. It’s been a very dry summer and fall until now. Finally, the rain has started to fall in the last few days, and I am very grateful for all the plants, that now finally they receive the water they needed to thrive.

Is It Only A Matter Of Time Until We're On A Dry Desolate Rock
2023 is promising to be no better than 2022. How will we know? It will require us to become more aware, not letting ourselves become so bogged down we miss what’s occurring in front of us, and we will need to play a part at times. That last one is going to be the hardest. That’s because a lot of our species struggle with change.

Human Population and Conservation
If one thinks about what broad themes unite conservationists of all stripes a few main ideas emerge. Preserve biodiversity, maintain and expand wild habitat, decrease pollution and waste. Ultimately most of these boil down to a fairly simple formula. The more we can reduce man’s footprint on the planet the better it will be for every other living thing. The easiest and most straightforward method to achieve this end would be to significantly reduce the human population of the planet. I think most people understand this at some base level and I believe it explains a lot of the negative attitudes many people instinctually express when asked their feelings on the matter. Essentially the conservationist is asking us to admit that we are the problem, we are a net negative for the health of the planet, all living things would be better off if we ceased to exist. I know that few environmentalist/conservationists would put it exactly this way though many probably believe it. In point of fact until very recently I did too.

Survival
Hustle this hustle that...I truly believe once you are in your power hustling is off the table. It is the reason why there are some on this planet that has to worry about their next meal and others don't. One group has learned to use their circumstances to create a life of ease and different problems that have nothing to do with survival while others fight to scrounge for the last scraps society decides to leave them if they have the "money" for it. As a human as soon as we are born we are looked at as valueless by the world. We have to create our value and someone who is in a significantly worse position has a harder time of creating their wealth and abundance better yet even surviving. It is nothing compared to the movie star that entertains millions with their meat at the end of the day. We are all constantly on the go for our value,. we wake up and hope we can be used by the world and rewarded for it greatly. Although nothing changes we can all say we tried right? Well no. As soon as you spend your life trying to create value boom just like that in the blink of an eye it is gone because now you have new problems to focus on and now you can't even focus on surviving because of these new problems you are expected to solve. How many people right now this moment are probably eating something? A lot. Now I say this because it is something so simple but so real. We all need to eat. Why should this be overlooked? We do not live in a world where excess is cherished by the next person or where we are all "here" for each other. Being "there" for someone requires you to be present for them. This system has never been present and never will be present for us. The system is only created for the future and the future only. It is built for control, not survival. If it was built for survival we would have ideas in place so people cannot starve in a country where excess is discarded and what is already here is sold for more profit at the expense of many people's time and energy. It is sick. Each person on this planet can live here and maintain a decent life if we were to all work together to create a new system for the future. It is time we prioritize feeding the world. J Cole explained it best. We are all wired for profit. No one is thinking outside the box to create something new. Each person is creating objects, software, and ideas to feed the beast that is the system. If we changed the system to eradicate the desire for comfort to create more and more profit and prioritize helping others survive imagine how simple life could be. Imagine a world where you are "paid" (I put it in parentheses because I believe money in the way it is used should not be a thing because it is so subjectively evaluated) to save lives and provide the NEEDS of the people near you. I know what your business gurus are thinking. Why don't work to solve this problem? That is a tremendous amount of effort to solve a problem that can be solved by a shift of perception of the issues. My job is to bring my thoughts to others and create awareness about the topic until I have the means to manifest my vision. I have a very specific way I know things can work and if those in power could listen to me it could work but only with the shift of people's mindsets can this all take place. It requires patience. It requires care. It requires a complete re-shift in the way we understand the world. We need to prioritize LIFE in and of itself. I think it is obvious what we need to do. We have raped and pillaged the world for so long to reach a place of comfort and safety from each other. It is time now that we come together and solve the bigger problems those before have created. Our oceans are polluted. Our food sources are ravaged. We are living in a modern-day apocalypse but we are so hyper-focused on our own gain we have lost the importance of the status of the world. It is time we all become more conscious of the societies we are working hard for and take a step back to slow down and unpack the traumas and issues we ALL have and figure out the root cause. Poverty should exist in a world where there is more than enough to go around.
