When we get tired in our daily lives due to work or other reasons then try to do something that we like to do that provides comfort to us. We all have so many types of hobbies which we like to do in our free time such as book reading, playing, sleeping, and so many others. There is one hobby that not only gives you inner joy but increases the beauty of your home and that is gardening. Hence, it is not a mere hobby but it is rewarding and therapeutic that allows an individual to directly feel and connect with nature. When we see the flowers and plants around us then we feel a sense of accomplishment. If you do not know much about it then I shall tell you about the benefits of gardening and what are the fundamentals of gardening. I shall also tell you about the important thing that you need to keep in mind and you can buy all the tools related to gardening on Shopify alternatives.

Location and sunlight -when you do gardening then you must have an open space where the sunlight can enter directly because it is common knowledge that plants need sunlight for their growth. So, you should choose a suitable location for your garden based on sunlight exposure. Every plant requires at least six hours of direct sunlight each day to make its food and its growth, so you should select an area that receives adequate sunlight for optimal growth.

Soil-after sunlight another important factor is soil because plants grow in soil that receives all the essential nutrients. So, before planting any plant you should assess the soil quality in your garden and fix it to provide a healthy growing environment for plants. You can also add organic matter to your soil such as compost, manure, or mulch to improve soil structure, fertility, and drainage.

Proper watering- everyone needs water for their sustenance be it animals, humans, or plants. So, there should be proper watering management for the plants because it is very crucial for plant development, but when we water it then it should be kept in mind to avoid overwatering or underwatering. Water keeps the soil moist and prevents it from getting dry.

Fertilizers- it is known that sunlight and water are needed for plant growth but it also need various nutrients. We can provide essential nutrients with fertilizers as needed to promote healthy plant growth but you should have the soil assessment done first. Hence, choose fertilizers formulated for specific plant types and apply them according to label instructions to avoid over-fertilizing, which can harm plants and leach into the environment.

Pest control- there are so many types of pests that can damage the plant. Therefore, if you notice anything that is hindering the growth then you should spray pesticide. There are so many types of pesticide in the market and you can do a little bit of research and buy it. There are integrated pest management (IPM) techniques, such as cultural controls, biological controls, and selective pesticide use, to minimize damage while minimizing environmental impact.

Pruning- plants also need time to time pruning to remove dead or diseased growth. If you want your plant to grow in a particular shape then regular pruning is necessary to shape the plant, pruning also encourages healthy growth. This could be a little time but you have to perform routine maintenance tasks such as weeding, deadheading flowers, and removing debris to keep your garden tidy and thriving. Gardening is a lifelong learning process, you should always remain open to learning new ideas and techniques.

If you keep these things in mind then you can create and maintain a beautiful and productive garden that brings joy and satisfaction year-round. Whether you're growing flowers, vegetables, or a combination of both, cultivating a garden requires patience, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the wonders of nature. Happy gardening!

Select a location that receives at least six hours of sunlight per day and has well-drained soil. This site https://gardeniaorganic.com/plants-perfect-for-attracting-pollinators-to-garden/ really helped me understand everything in more detail. Avoid areas where water tends to stagnate after rain or where the soil is full of roots that will be difficult to dig up and treat.
