Ghana and Ghanians are always complacent about the ills in their own country. There is always a constant need to blame, blame, blame anyone and everyone for the issues in Ghana. Even the President Akufo-Addo blames anything and everything on other countries or outside issues.

Slavery was a widely used tool for many Africans and African nations, Ghanians happily sold off Africans to Western nations for 150 years.

By the eighteenth century, Ghana had become a major supplier of the Atlantic slave trade—which had a “profound effect” (p. 26) on indigenous slavery. The main chapters examine themes such as the sources of slaves, their local usage, their succession to political office, and the gradual abolition of slavery.

Most slaves were the product of warfare, which intensified under the pressures of the Atlantic trade. Perbi identifies sixty-six slave markets, where female slaves consistently fetched higher prices than males. Slaves were responsible for most food production. They carried the headloads for the regional and long-distance trade, and performed gendered labor in the gold-mining industry: women did the panning, while men worked in the pits. Female slaves were in demand for their reproductive abilities as their masters' concubines and wives. Ghana's precolonial societies, unlike those in the New World, did not consider slaves chattel. Slaves had rights and privileges: the right to be fed, clothed, and housed; the right to marry; and the privilege of an independent income. Some had the possibility of social mobility. Still, all suffered disabilities...Source

Now the Ghanian President in leading the charge for reparations for Africa and Africans. Even though they actively commited the same crimes in which their now asking for money for. Akufo-Addo now wants more money on top of what was paid hundreds of years ago. Because the corrupted, greedy political leader wants money that his ancestors were already paid, to be paid to him.

His quest for reparations are not for those who are the descendants but for those who were the active selling. His claims as he once again used Black Americans to build up the tourism indusry in is scam ridden country.

Colorism in Ghana is still a big issue, with Ghanians calling some of their own "darky & blacky" and skin bleaching not only themselves but their unborn babies.

Now Ghanians and Ghana is lying about the used clothing waste in their country. As their customs officers allow tons of used clothing and other used items to flood into the country.

Ghana imports about 15m items of secondhand clothing each week, known locally as obroni wawu or “dead white man's clothes”.

Then with typical racism and hatred which is in Ghana but rarely ever discussed, they called them "dead white man's clothing" because these morons actually think only Black people exist in Africa. This is while several Black Americans bring clothing into Ghana for their children, they still call them white man's clothing, as if Blacks in America walk around naked.

The swim is supported by the Or Foundation, of which Tetteh is a board member, that campaigns against textile waste in Ghana, one cause of increasing water pollution in the country.

Ghana imports about 15m items of secondhand clothing each week, known locally as obroni wawu or “dead white man’s clothes”. In 2021, Ghana imported $214m (£171m) of used clothes, making it the world’s biggest importer.

"The worlds biggest importer" not the world's biggest dumping site.

No where in the article does it claim that western countries are dumping their used clothing in Ghana. However it tells how the government continues to allow several tons of the used clothes to come into the country. Even after they've been banned by AfCFTA. Several East African countries like Kenya are also planning to ignore the ban on used clothing.

There are several Lebanese, Chinese and Ghanian owned stores where they sell used clothing, one Lebanese store, which is in Palace Mall sells these used items at a very high price. No where do they mention that these used items are in fact used. I've written about it before on this platform, you can read that here and see the photos of the used items.

These huge containers arrive and are sold at the port of entry to sellers in Ghana and several other African countries. There are many cases where Africans living "abroad" in these Western countries collect items that are used, they never check to see if the clothing or the electronics are any good. They just fill these large shipping containers and send them to Africa and Asia.

This is where they make their living, once a man in Ghana told me this was what he does, another man from The Gambia living in the United States was going to start selling used clothing in The Gambia. He had gotten the idea from the many Africans he met while living in the US.

When the containers arrive in African countries often times corrupted government officials will earn exatra money for charging fees. This is not something done in secret however lying and blaming others is something I continue to witness living in Ghana.

I was even approached about starting to sell used items, a Ghanian man wants to now import used Americans car tries into Ghana. He and others think that now flooding Ghana with old used tires would make them money. However what do you think they'll do when they get a container with tires that they can't use? They'll then dump them in the landfills in Ghana. This is the fault of Ghana, and it's government.

A Kenyan man who sells used clothing, calls this article misleading, while he's selling used clothing after they've been banned. On his page he also post that China which is not a "white man's country" nor a Western country is to blame for most of the second hand clothing. If this isn't misleading the existence of this man breaking the African ban I don't know what is.

This is a perfect example of an African causing the damage on the African continent, by actively selling and importing used clothing.

Why is there no other West African countries with coastlines to the Atlantic ocean making the same claims? Or having the same massive amounts of waste the Ghana has? It clearly shows that this corrupted and greedy natio is accepting and importing these used items into their country.

Why isn't anyone speaking about the part that Africans and Africans leaders are playing in this? Why is this so common to lie on Western countries?
