You must have seen various articles on dog and cat foods because people generally keep them as a pet. However, there are people who are bird lovers as well. They keep small birds such as parrots, pigeons, sparrows, and doves in their homes and take care of them. I have seen people that they take shelter for those birds who get injured and lose their wings or ability to fly. In that case, people take care of them but we get worried for these birds when giving them and they do not eat it. Well, we know that every pet eats a different type of food and birds also eat different food and we have to be careful about it. Birds have diverse dietary needs, and providing them with a variety of food items is crucial for their overall health and well-being. In this article, I shall be telling you about some essential food items that can be given to birds and you can easily order them from sites like eBay.

1) Seeds

When you get confused about food then you can give them seeds because seeds are stapled food items for many bird species, including finches, canaries, and parrots. There are so many types of seeds which are available such as sunflower seeds, millet, and safflower seeds. You can buy them and feed your bird and they will get essential nutrients through these seeds.

2) Fruits

If you do not have seeds in your homes then you can give them fruits. Even we also eat fruits and fruits are full of vital nutrients. You can give them raw fruits such as bananas, apples, or guava. 3) Vegetables

This is the cheapest food option and is easily available in every home. 5) Insects

You must have seen birds eating insects and birds love them. there are species such as robins and bluebirds that rely on insects as a primary food source. Providing mealworms or crickets can be a good supplement to their diet.

6) Mealworms

Mealworms are a great source of protein for birds and can be given to the species that eat worms these species are bluebirds, thrushes, and woodpeckers.

It is a high-energy food that can be particularly beneficial for birds during the winter months. It would give them warmth and the ability to face cold and chilly winds.
