The wildlife of two Asian countries

Malaysia is a southeastern Asian island. The country has both land and maritime borders with Brunei, Indonesia, and Thailand. It shares maritime borders with the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Malayan tigers are a subspecies of tigers. They’re endemic to the Malay Peninsula and unfortunately, since 2014 have been critically endangered due to habitat loss and poaching.

Indochinese leopards are a subspecies of leopards native to southern China and southeastern Asia. They’re threatened due to habitat loss and poaching.

Clouded leopards are a large species of felid and the third and last big cats found in Malaysia. They inhabit dense forests.

Sumatran rhinoceroses are one of five species of rhinos that are native to southeastern Asia.

Borneo bearded pigs are peculiar creatures, They live in southeastern Asia and have prominent beards.

Wild boars are among the most widespread animals on the planet. They originate from Eurasia.

Wildlife of the Maldives
The Maldives is an archipelagic Asian country located in the southern part of the continent, off the coast of India. It is the smallest Asian country surrounded by the Indian Ocean.
Native Animals

Indian flying foxes are referred to as the greater Indian fruit bats. These are large species of flying foxes that are native to the Indian subcontinent, as well as the Maldives and Nepal.

Oriental garden lizards are a species of lizards widely distributed throughout southern and southeastern Asia.

Asian black-spine toads are a species of toads throughout southern and southeastern Asia.
Birds

Grey herons are among the species of migratory birds found in the Maldives. They’re long-legged wading birds.

Lesser frigate birds are migratory birds that seasonally fly to the Maldives. These are the smallest species of the frigate bird family.
