Vampire Stories appeal to gothic romantics
I just finished reading a Top Story written by Angel Hepworth, a negative review of the "Twilight" movie based on Stephanie Meyers books. I did not read any of those books, but I was a passionate fan of the movie series and watched the films more than once. After reading the points made by Hepworth in her review, I feel like I may be in the minority (although that does seem awkward considering how successful the books and movies were) when I say that I still love those movies. I read all of the negative feedback, but I just couldn't make myself agree. The only thing I could say in my defense as a fan of the Twilight saga, is that it's like creamed corn. I love creamed corn, especially in entertainment.

Snicket #11
'The Grim Grotto' is another adventure of the Baudelaire children, and they are all coming of age and beginning to wonder. They are now volunteers for VFD in their own ways. They have made a few friends that have helped when needed. They meet Fiona in this adventure and are still learning what needs to be done without putting each other in dangerous situations the best they can. The Baudelaire's really find out what family is all about as well as a few strangers that know them, but they do not know them. The Baudelaire's are making various connections now.

Watching Twilight For The First Time. Top Story - November 2024.
This is sort of weird for what an avid reader of young adult fiction I was back in my teens, but I never actually read much of Stephanie Meyer’s famous Twilight. I briefly borrowed one of the books from my cousin, skimmed a few pages, and then gave it back because I didn’t like it. And that’s where it ended for me.

Snicket #10

'The Slippery Slope' a Snicket novel of the Baudelaire's troublesome times is one where the siblings meet someone that they thought was dead while they are also separated from Sunny who found out quite a bit about herself in this edition of their story. There are many downs and a few ups in this story this for they meet some old 'friends' in this one as well. Violet and Klaus are also learning more about each other as well. Although Count Olaf and Esme are still the same, but some of their group seem to be changing just a bit.

The Hostile Hospital

Number 8 in the Snicket series 'The Hostile Hospital' finds the Baudelaire children acting as VFD volunteers and even hospital employees searching for a file to help themselves and the Quagmire triplets in some way. Count Olaf and his cohorts come along and once again do their dastardly activities. The Baudelaire's seemed to always be one step ahead and two or three steps backwards at times when things seem to be working out like in 'The Vile Village' with the handyman, but then turned sour once again when the rope ladder broke, and they walked to the Heimlich Hospital presently.

The Darkness

I’m thinking of starting a novel, but I could really use some help brainstorming ideas and themes. Here’s a quick summary of what I have in mind. If you have any suggestions on how to take this story further, I’d love to hear them! It’s going to be a sci-fi adventure about a professor who’s on a quest to uncover the secrets of the universe. But guess what? He’s not alone! A dark force is trying to show him what the universe really means, and it’s not going to be easy. He’ll have to face an ancient battle to learn the lessons he needs to find the answers he’s been searching for.

The Ersatz Elevator

Number Six of Lemony Snicket's series of the Baudelaire's. 'The Ersatz Elevator' find the children leaving Prufrock Prepatory School and living with Jerome and Esme in a very large apartment in a very tall building with a lot of rooms. What is 'In' and was is 'Out' is the question that Violet, Klaus and Sunny need to figure to save some friends and once again try to rid themselves of Count Olaf and could it happen down an elevator shaft or at an auction where people only want what is 'In'. More to come in this series of unfortunate events.
