OK Computer By Radiohead (1997)
Flawless third album that started the bands constant evolution!

OK Computer saw a reasonably good, if pedestrian, jangly guitar-based band from Oxford turn into one of the most continuously inventive bands of our modern times. That they don't sound the same as that album nowadays is testimony to their boundary and envelope-pushing intentions. It's still flawless, 25 years later.

There’s not a single Radiohead album I don’t like, but this one is really special. Subterranean Homesick Alien being my favorite, because it felt like a perfect blending of their new and old sounds. Just woke up the other day with Fake Plastic Trees stuck in my head, but couldn’t remember what I was dreaming. The strange thing about Radiohead is that they have these gloomy, subversive lyrics, yet I feel so happy any time I hear them. That’s how I know they love what they do. I can feel the joy that went into the creation process.
Love them so much. Your reviews are so captivating and accurate! Gonna listen to this album tomorrow at work. I just scanned the songs, and wow, yes. "Airbag," "Paranoid Android," "Let Down," "Karma Police," "No Surprises." Of course everything is awesome. But those are my tops from this one. (I'm a relative newbie to Radiohead but have binged their albums time and again.)
Brilliant critique of a legendary band! Great work Paul! 👍😃
Oh I know Radiohead. Excellent review!
Ibid. (Another great review of another band of which I've never heard.)
Confession: Kid A was the album that made me a fan. I listened to OK 💻 🖱 and it did not hit me right away. And now it's one of my favorites!
Love this album so much :) No surprises' still makes me cry in a poignant way. But feel a bit disappointed by later work. I don't know if it's me or them but I'm just not getting the new stuff. Loving the hyphenated thing-really works!
Cool 👍 ❤️📝
