Kill Bill - Volume 1 (Critique)
Critique of this Tarantino movie. For me, a love affair that started, as love often does - with loathing. Ahh, what a fool I was.

I hated it the first time. Over the top, silly, too long, too violent, too muddled.
But now? Each scene - no, each frame - gorgeously stylised, terrific badass protagonist, perfectly chosen soundtrack (seriously, spot-on), exquisite casting.
It's "too" on purpose.
Oh, and Carridine's voice is *chef's kiss* for Bill.

Nailed it!!!💕❤️❤️
Great critique
As always, I've not watched this either. Loved your review!
Thanks...and I love "Black Books," too!
I use to be mad about both films!! Although I haven’t watched for years! Use to play the soundtracks in the car!! It’s ultra stylistic like your critique! 😁
I agree with this! It is too everything all of the time and that's wonderful! The first time I watched it, I didn't really understand it, thought it was just silly. But then I realized that was the point and had a lot more fun the second and third time through!
I know exactly how you feel! As you get older your appreciation for certain things change; kind of like olives, blue cheese, and wine! My taste in films has changed dramatically.
LMAO that clip. effing Peter Serafinowicz lol! But, this is a great critique. Forever, my favourite Tarantino film was always Reservoir Dogs. Then Kill Bill replaced it, it's only pipped to the top spot by Inglorious tho. Kill Bill Vol. 2 is great too and actually reallllllly sad at the end. IMHO...very emotional,
