Kanye West takes out ad in 'Wall Street Journal' apologizing for past behavior
Kanye West addresses his tumultuous 2025 and opens up about his bipolar I diagnosis in a candid apology letter.

For Ye to issue yet another missive arguing that his bipolar I disorder led to his horrific behavior is the worst of all worlds. His half-hearted attempt to apologize to the Foundational Black American (FBA) is appalling. His attempt to get on the good side of Jews is embarrassing. What is most damaging is the fact he has no clue that the diagnosis doesn’t come with apology tours or full page ads in The Wall Street Journal. In actuality, the way to deal with this is not to apologize but to put up money. Ye needs to show his contrition by offering millions to Black and Jewish people.
The money is not enough either. He should go on a trek to the concentration camps in Europe. He should go on an excursion to Jamestown in Virginia, USA. The footage of emaciated people in trains and in work camps should be played a la A Clockwork Orange. Images of black minds destroyed by lynchings ought to reinvigorate Ye’s commitment to the FBA. The reality of his abilities is not the problem. Neither is his disability. It’s actually his mind not the mechanisms of chemical reactions in his skull. He is still a very wealthy man despite the fact he lost billionaire status. It seems he wants to regain this level of monetary excellence.
It is in his mind that he has to keep from making Nazi-praising music or saying that slavery was a choice without context. All he had to say was that slaves could have chosen to risk being brutalized or killed for their “transgression” of waiting away from their masters. What Ye fails to understand still is the fact the way to deal with issues like the Holocaust and American slavery is the fact he must own up to all the problems he has brought upon himself.
His behavior has nothing to do with his failure to see that one doesn’t say sorry for these misdeeds. Ye must say, “Hey, I’ve done these things and I can’t take them back. I will not apologize nor will I blame such acts on my mental condition.” That’s all he has to say. No miracles. No God. Just a flat-out statement regarding his placement as an individual who has done some heinous things in the past based on his own lapses in judgement.
In his mind, he is doing the right thing by passively showing his apology especially to blacks and Jews. If he displays true actions of bringing together the mindset of someone who is of greater caliber of virtue, he might have a chance at redemption. For him to disregard the reality of how easy it is to say, “Oh, that was just my bipolar,” that wears thin over the years. If he is genuine about his apology he will enable every part of his life to allow dollars to flow to FBA schools, Jewish yashivas, and an all-out blitz of dollars. He’s going to have to put his money not where his mouth is but where his mind is.
Despite the diagnosis, he is supposed to keep all apologies to himself. To continue on his turbulent journey is a testament to the man’s actions based on his distorted value orientation. Whether it was to stir up trouble or just piss people off, he succeeded. If he has any self-regard, it should stem from his place as an FBA himself. When he took on the role as statesman for the black struggle and flickers of black excellence, he had been on the right path. Any and all of the phases he’s gone through to achieve the money and power over the past two decades and more.
By bringing to the light his actions and stating how he is poised to release an upcoming album Bully, is it too cynical to say he’s currying favor with audiences that might not have ever heard of The College Dropout? That’s the reality that he has to confront. Every time he makes a half-hearted apology to the press, it includes his hints at his bipolar disorder. This is an affront to anyone else afflicted with the disease. It is a back hand on the carpet of righteousness for him to constantly say his inability to control his actions. There are no apologies. There are none. He has to realize that for himself to complete his pain and suffering in his own head that extends especially to FBA and Jewish communities.

WOW. Blows me away.
I gave up on him ages ago...and I have no interest in his so-called contrition tour.
