The Earth Children’s Series by Jean M. Auel is a well-thought-out, researched book. Well-written and there are long and many well-described scenes. So well described it’s boring.
The series follows Ayla as she travels through prehistoric Europe, From her early life with the Clan to her love life with Jondalar.

Fear of a Black Hat
Fear of a Black Hat, a Rusty Cundieff film, is one of my all-time favorite movies when I need to laugh. We’re talking Kentucky-Fried Movie territory. You want the uncut version, otherwise you don’t get the Ice Froggy Frog video (below) at the beginning or the discussion about artistic integrity in Cleveland. I own the cut version (😥)—couldn’t find the uncut version at that time, no extra money for it right now, but you aren’t me, so buy the uncut version.

Nice review! Do you think these are suitable books for children of the 5 - 8 range? My little boy loves to learn and reads almost at an adult level, he won't mind if they are boring. Too many books don't teach children anything these days!
