Dear, MAGA

Donald Trump is a narcissistic, wannabe authoritarian dictator! You think that by supporting him and what he’s doing, you will be rewarded or just left alone. But that is not true. After he gets done attacking the marginalized and vulnerable he will be coming after you next. If you think it is fair to attack journalist reporters or even lawyers who have a different opinion as you/Trump, you are on the wrong side of history. If you are supporting this though, and think that anyone who speaks out against your “beloved” DJT, you are nothing but a blind ideologue. If you feel that way, you shouldn’t be advocating for the constitution. You shouldn’t be saying “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”, You shouldn’t be calling “America, the land of the free”. Because our freedom is being taken away slowly day by day. You may not realize it because you have the privilege to not have to worry about your freedom or your lives being taken away from you. People are having their insurance and their Social Security taken away from them, leaving them with barely anything to live on. Veterans, the people that claim to love so much and care so much about, are having their VA benefits, taken away, leaving them to have to pay out of pocket, hundreds of dollars for things like medication, doctor visits and even therapy. Marginalized people are being silenced more than ever. People are being arrested for defending their communities, friends, families. Yet you choose to sit back and do nothing because it doesn’t affect you directly. But believe me, sooner rather than later they will find a way to oppress you too. They always have.

History repeats itself, and it is starting to look like more and more like 1930s Germany. You must be a soulless, ignorant, and down right cruel person to think that it is okay to rip on in families apart. Taking children away from their mothers while they are at school or leaving children to come home to an empty home because their parents were taken off the streets.

These are families who have worked hard to build up this country and made it what it is now, while the rich, folk sit and do nothing. They do not know what they want. They benefit from their labor, they want the money that they get from the crops they pick and the homes they build, yet they cannot stand the sight of a brown man or woman in their neighborhood. Immigrant people are human beings just like everyone else, not cattle that you need to round up and send away. You will be getting rid of over 10 million people. 10 million people who want nothing more than a better life for their family, better jobs and most of all, they just want to survive!

You cannot tell them to get citizenship “the right way” when, when they do, there are ICE agents at the doors of the courtroom waiting to take them away. It is unfair and down right cruel. We as a society have lost sense of community and lost our since of humanity. We have no compassion, no empathy for others. At the end of the day, we are all human, are we not? It doesn’t matter where you come from NO ONE is illegal.
