An explosion of pink and feminism, of equality that might be truly equal one day. Filled with inappropriate jokes and nostalgia, this is not your daughter’s Barbie movie. So please, do not bring your young children to this movie and then complain about it; it is rated PG-13, after all.

I'm yet to watch it but I'm looking forward to it! Loved your review!
Nice summary, haven't seen it but sounds it was written more for adults and is a fun movie whilst leaving some young children confused.. I've read Barbie the TV series, is the exact opposite, every episode a happy ending where everyone understands and appreciates each other better at the end.
