Quintanilla Realized their anger might cause his danger, he managed to flee the scene, but the brothers and Melendez were determined to bring him to account for his actions.

Quintanilla tried to escape again, but his efforts were in vain as the group switched vehicles and found him once more. In what would be their final encounter, Quintanilla suffered a fatal beating. According to authorities, the group transported Quintanilla’s body in a truck and left him in a field. His body was later discovered by a farmer, and it is believed that Quintanilla may have still been alive when he was abandoned.
