The youngest inmate in Tennessee on death row at the age of 21.

A desperate gang ready to kill, a defenceless victim fighting for survival. It was not just a fast kill; it was more like agony. It was rare to find any area of her face or body free of cuts or slashes. The struggle continues. The blade makes a horrifying mark this time. Her soul was meant to be released to Satan through a pentagram. Colleen's killer will rejoice after Colleen dies tonight. Beneath those eyes, there was a terrible person. Knoxville Tennessee In 1994, the Job Corps was established to offer training and education to young people attempting to start over. Essentially, the Job Corps was created for disturbed adolescents. It was their final destination.

Christa Pike, 18, resides on the Job Corps campus and is not as interested in her studies as she once was. She started dating a boy named Tadaryl Shipp, and she thinks she was in love with him and thought he was the love of her life. There is a dark aspect to this love. Christa Pike was definitely the envious kind. She took great pride in holding onto Tadaryl's time, energy, and interests. Christa thinks Tadaryl is been pursued by someone else. Christa detested Colleen, who was also a student at the Job Corps centre. Christa expressed her belief that Colleen was attempting to take her tadaryl away. However, that was not true.

Christa Pike does not care about the truth. She is already planning a brutal retaliation. Do you really believe that something of such kind would exist in a small town like Knoxville? Christa Pike's terrible fury will be dealt with by Detective Randy York. He is unwilling to defend what she did since he was unable to justify it in his mind. He imagined that anyone who could justify it, would be just as insane as she was. Christa's family was unstable when she was a child. Her mother was more concerned with having fun than with rearing a child. Mom wanted to be more of a party girl. She send Christa to live with her dad.

He send her back to her mother. She was therefore tossed around. Eventually, her grandmother end up raising her. For her, her grandmother's passing was the pinnacle of abandonment. The only individual who had ever shown genuine concern for her. Christa is hazardous for reasons other than drug use or parenting. Her unstable mental state is the cause. Christa never stood a chance to be a regular person in our society, in my opinion. She was later diagnosed with a serious mental condition during her incarceration. Christa has borderline personality disorder, which may sound mild, but it actually indicates that she lives in an extreme environment. A place of all or nothing, love or hatred, black or white.

From envy to violence, for a young person unable of managing their emotions in a responsible way, it is not a very big step. Christa made the decision to eliminate the competition. She believed that killing her would be the only way to end the rivalry. Colleen Slemmer was invited on a walk in the woods on the evening of January 13, 1994, by Christa Pike and Daryl Shipp, and an 18-year-old friend of Shadolla Peterson. With the promise that they would smoke some pot, or marijuana, she enticed her to a park in Knoxville. Colleen, on the other hand, will only feel agony from this encounter and not pleasure. Christa asserted that her sole intention was to frighten the victim.

To frighten someone, bringing a meat cleaver in a box cutter is not necessary. A teenage girl was brutally stabbed, murdered, and disfigured at a crime scene in Knoxville, Tennessee. The victim's pentagram was etched there while she was still alive and was most likely cut with a box cutter. Students from the adjacent Job Corps facility are drawn to the crime site. Christa Pike, who is eighteen, was one of the people who approached the officer and asked him what was going on. It was unknown at the time if she had any involvement in the crime. The killer of Colleen Slemmer wears the same emblem around his neck that was cut into Slemmer's body.

It is evidence of Christa's loyalty to Daryl Shipp, her lover, and Satan. Daryl informed the Sergeant that he had been practicing satanic worship since he was eleven years old. I believe that Daryl may have introduced Christa to demonic worship through this activity. A portion of its demonic cravings and unbridled envy will come together in one terrifying evening. Colleen Slemmer goes into the woods with three other students the night before her body is discovered. Colleen did not, in my opinion, know that this would occur. Christa wants to exact retribution since she believes Colleen is moving in on her lover.

People will occasionally engage in group activities that they would never do on their alone, and occasionally this leads to a murderous spree. Christa was so devoted to Tadaryl that she would not listen to Colleen's insistence that she had no contact with him. Christa pulled a knife out of her jacket and called her a lying bitch. She started cutting her after announcing that she would make sure Tadaryl would not come around anymore. Colleen is going to get cut more than 300 times in the next forty-five minutes. In this instance, I believe the victim is being punished based on all of the marks left on her body. She was being punished by Christa.

Christa convinced her pals to accompany her. Tadaryl Shipp is excited to take part. He engraves Colleen's skin with the pentagram. That was going to be his kill mark, I figured. He applied his brand there. Colleen replied, "If you just let me go, I will hitchhike on the flora and I will go back home," even though she is bleeding to death and is still holding onto hope. Please let me go. She essentially stated, "You know I have already gone too far." I am unable to let you go. You are going to die. Colleen Slemmer's skull is crushed by Christa Pike's killing blow as she raises her arm in the final moments of her life. Christa returns to her dorm after the murder.

A lot of Killers will take souvenirs and they are always something very personal to the victim but this is the best personal I have ever seen. She carried that fragment of the skull to a petrol station, cleaned it, folded a serviette around it and tucked it into her coat pocket. When someone inquired about Colleen's whereabouts, she felt her pocket and replied, "I am having breakfast with her." A horrible memento, and much worse, she flaunted it in public. She felt pleased with her work. Colleen's body carved with a pentagram prompts investigators to look into possible Satanist activities at the Job Corps. They find out Christa has been boasting about her transgression.

She was ecstatic about what she had done, and I would say that she was exuberant. This is the most magnificent event that Randy York has ever experienced. She performed both aspects of the kill with such glee that the detective was simply taken aback. She would get on her hands and knees and writhe like Colleen did for Randy. Each of the three accused admits to attacking Colleen Slemmer. Shadolla Peterson is given a suspended six-year sentence. Christa Pike gets a death sentence and Tadaryl Shipp receives a life term. She becomes the youngest inmate in Tennessee on death row at the age of 21.  It surprised me because most juries are sympathetic to young people for some reason however I do not think the jury saw any remorse. 

I believe they witnessed her desire for vengeance and heard all the specifics of what had transpired. Christa Pike was a vicious killer due to a serious mental disorder. She is still dangerous even on death row. I do not think Christa changed. I do not think Christa is incapable of changing. I believe she has a fixed personality. She has made another attempt at murder while incarcerated, and I believe that this is just who she is and that she is not capable of changing at this time in her life.
