tv review
Big crimes, small screen; true crime television series and TV documentaries that recreate and reexamine some of the mystifying and grisliest cases in history.
The True Crime Ripple Effect
True crime shit Have you watched a lot of true crime stories and finding out the kind of fellowship they Attracted from people all over the world, it is my opinion and believe that perpetrators of those crimes shouldn’t be given a platform for the twisted and sadistic nature to be admired and glamorized. I realize my writing does not follow the guidelines stipulated by the current competition but I still want to steal this opportunity to shed light on an opinion I have held for a long time about the recent popular Genre called true crime documentaries.

REVIEW OF 911 LONE STAR
911 Lone Star is a spin-off series from the original series of 911 which is based on the personal and professional conditions of firefighters, emergency medical team, police department, and 911 dispatch team. The reason why this series is named as lone star, because the story is spread around Austin town of Texan state which is also known as lone star state.

The Sociopathic Protagonist
If you are like me, you don’t enjoy anything more than cuddling up on the couch in fuzzy pajamas, oversized fleece blanket, a full glass of bottom shelf red wine, and a new murder mystery show. Crime shows have been airing on all platforms as long as I can remember, way before I was born twenty-something years ago. They’ve got it all. True crime shows such as Forensic Files and The Ripper docuseries are basically science-based history lessons on how sociopaths came to be and the nitty gritty details of the rape and murderous rampages they went on. Fictional police-oriented shows, like my favorites Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and CSI: Miami, delve into the lives of detectives and the events they may face trying to crack the case. And lastly we were given a series starring the murderous sociopath as the main character himself. Although I find all crime cinema completely fascinating, it is quite insightful to watch the plot unfold through the eyes of a protagonistic sociopath.

In Search of the Gentleman Thief
One of my favourite literary stock characters is that of the “gentleman thief.” The recent release of Lupin on Netflix shows that there are many others who are equally charmed by the concept. Who doesn’t love the idea of an outlaw, living by his own specific rules and meting out justice in a way that cuts the wealthy and powerful down to size.

One cop show after another
Cop shows. I grew up on cop shows. From Hill Street Blues to NYPD Blue, I loved them! I couldn’t get enough of them. Although Hill Street Blues was a really good show, I must say that there are some amazing cop shows that have happened in the last few years.

Hey! College Admissions Don’t Come Cheap!
There’s a throwaway line midway through the scary-good Netflix exposé Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal that sums everything you ever wanted to know about college entrance scams but were afraid to ask. Somebody someone behind-the-scenes says a prominent Hollywood actress’ daughter had grades good enough to get into the college of her choice on her own merit, without her well-to-do mom intervening on her behalf by paying a scammy college admissions facilitator to game the system on her behalf.
