investigation
Whodunnit, and why? All about criminal investigations and the forensic methods used to search for clues and collect evidence to get to the bottom of the crime.
The Little Black Book: Shall We Begin?
Cedar Hincapie used to resent being the middle child, forgotten and ignored. Or worse, expected to be just like his two older brothers. Nowadays, he wonders why he hadn’t considered invisibility his superpower. His throbbing head and clamorous alarm at six o’clock in the morning had him roaring curses. Silencing his phone, he tucked his engorged member into the waistband of his boxer-briefs and rolled skillfully out of bed into a push up position. A morning ritual to get the blood moving and cure his self-medicating last night.

Pooler, Ga Police Department Exposed Part One
In December 2018, a month after being sexually assaulted I walked into a Dunkin Donuts. I had no idea that day would destroy my life. I ordered my coffee, as I always did. When I went to pay for it, I was told the person in front of me had paid for mine. Since I was going to get coffee anyway I paid for the man behind me. As I was leaving, he stopped me to thank me. I reluctantly let him near me because I wasn't at all inclined to speak to a stranger. He introduced himself and told me he was a police officer with the Pooler, Ga Police department and asked for my phone number to buy me a coffee in return. When he showed me his badge, I didn't think I had anything to fear. I was a juvenile probation officer and cops had always been my friends and colleagues. Thinking it would be nice to not hide behind the pain the sexual assault had created we became friends. He was something safe in my chaotic world.

True Crime Heroes
Journalism has always played an important role in society. We rely on newspapers, television and magazines to stay up to date on current events. When crimes are reported journalists set out to uncover the truth. While conducting their own interviews they can bring to light information that was overlooked by law enforcement, and generate new leads. In some cases it is their dedication that leads to an arrest.

Murder Mysteries
The FBI has estimated that nearly 40% of all murders in the United States go unsolved every year. In 2018 alone this means that over 6,000 killers were never apprehended and remained free to walk the streets. Even with the advancements in DNA testing and evolving crime scene techniques investigators are still filing cases as cold every day. They are haunted by the mystery surrounding the victims and hoping for the break in the case they need to finally get them justice.

Windfall
Where could it be? I’ve looked everywhere in my house. Oh my God what if I lost it outside? If the wrong person gets a hold of that book I’m doomed. My next appointment is arriving in fifteen minutes. Thankfully, I have my client names in the calendar on my computer. But now who else has my client names?

The Unsolved Murder of Mavis Hudson in Chesterfield, England
Mavis Hudson did not have the best of childhoods. It was alleged that she was a handful for her widowed mother, and despite being only 15, she was a smoker and liked the company of older men. Due to her behaviour, Mavis had spent some of her adolescent years living in a children’s home. Her mother also told investigating police officers that Mavis had run away from home on several occasions.

Cold Case Files
Christmas Day is no longer a day of celebration for David Sheppard. Instead it is a time of reflection, of sadness, of wondering why the world is cruel, why the good die young. In David’s case this was proven when his uncle, who was more like a best friend than a relative, disappeared back in 1995. David was 14 at the time, only five years younger than his uncle Daniel Sheppard. In December 1994, Daniel was helping his nephew strip down his BMX bike. He assured David the end result would be the envy of his school mates. He was going to sandblast and powdercoat it at the place he worked and told David: “you’ll have the coolest bike in the school bike rack.

How Sexual Assault was Legalized in Georgia
In November of 2018, while going to the Ga Supreme Court and Ga Court of Appeals I met the man that would fundamentally alter my life. I had been a Juvenile Probation Officer for Chatham County. Wrongfully terminated for nothing more than filing a grievance. I met Shawn, a Tow Truck driver with R. Mayer Towing. My car had died in front of the Court of Appeals in downtown Atlanta. AAA came out, wouldn’t accept my digital AAA card and so became the moment that over two years later leads to this article.

Leave no witnesses alive
The American public regarded the 60s as our most divisive decade. Young people expressed themselves unlike anything ever witnessed in past decades. Americans opposed the Vietnam War, fought for civil rights and watched a man walk on the moon. Although Cincinnati was the birthplace of Charles Manson, there are other heinous criminals and crimes associated with Cincinnati. For example, the Cincinnati Strangler prowled the Queen City around the time when someone murdered the Bricca family. Today, authorities still don’t know who killed the Briccas.
