incarceration
Incarceration, rehabilitation, recidivism: The reality of prison life and what it's like to be an inmate locked up behind bars.
Staying Strong
I started writing people in prison years ago. I started by writing the Son of Sam. He goes by the Son of Hope or let's call him by his real natural name David Berkowitz. He is so sweet. I went on from there and started writing to more people that were behind bars. I wrote Julius Jones and Rosa Jimenez. They were fighting for their freedom. This was many years ago when I started writing my friends behind bars. When I did this it opened my eyes more to how hard it is on them.

Opinion on school shootings
The uvalde shootings disgust me. It also scares me. The fact that there is no way of knowing when something like this may happen, or who it will happen to, is scary. This is my first writing piece on this website, but I’ve thought long and hard about this topic, and I think that my opinions should be heard. I’m also sure, that others will share my views. Obviously, no man in their right minds would ever commit such an atrocious act of violence, let alone against a school of 8-11 year olds. However, I believe he had complete control over his mind and was completely aware of what he was doing. Insanity in a court of law is different from what you and I would consider “insane”. To be found not guilty, you need proof that the defendant was not capable of distinguishing between right and wrong. You also need proof that this mindset you were experiencing was occurring and active during the event (shooting). People who decide to cause a school shooting are usually what is called a “copycat” shooter. A copycat shooter is a shooter that, after seeing that a previous shooter got off with simple jail time, they believe that they can kill multiple children and simply be locked away. Now mind you, 7 counts of first degree murder is already a very long time in prison. However, many of the shooters will fake a mental illness, as to try to be placed in a psych ward instead of prison. But do you think that’s fair? Say your child is sent off to school, and you never see them again. Ever. No parent of family will ever truly recover. Ever. It will be with them every day of their lives.

Kuwait's Survival
There are several notable examples of how the United States perceives its military to be a force for good and justice throughout its history. And the employment of military force for a worthy cause was vividly exemplified in the Gulf War in 1991, when America came to the help of an ally. Operation Desert Storm and the Liberation of Kuwait are two names for this conflict. Whatever the label, it was a struggle that America had to fight because of an illegitimate invasion of an ally and an act of aggression that we could not just ignore.

Jeffery Hubbard is the face of evil
Anyone who doubts the existence of evil should look at Jeffery Hubbard. Although his name may not be familiar to you, he is in the news again with his bid for parole. It’s no different from when his face last appeared in the media back in 2012. Hubbard is up for parole again on May 12 after being convicted of a homicide in 1986. The victim of his crime was no stranger to him either. Her name was Tiffany Hubbard, his own three-year-old daughter. Considering him for parole is beyond me. He would take a dirt nap if it were up to me.

The Prison Obsession
I have never had a desire to enter the prison system no matter how society has led the charge towards predominately African Americans and pocs to have a road map to incarceration. I pose the question what is up with our love for people behind bars?

Baseball, murder and an act of bravery
On April 7, 2022, Major League Baseball's latest season began. The season started without any problems since there was no lockout. Despite the long season, most teams already have high hopes of making it to the World Series. Since baseball has begun, I'd like to share a story about Clifford Wesley Latimer (aka Tacks), a former major leaguer from Loveland, Ohio, who was born on November 30, 1877.

Charlie Ross.. the kid who disappeared for 65 years and then came back
“Do not take sweets from strangers.”..a sentence that is not strange to us. The parents used to say it to their children for fear of strangers. Come with me, dear reader, to tell you about this painful saying because it goes back to the first kidnapping in the history of America and the whole world. It is the first kidnapping linked to ransom. She was widely known by the press and media
