Just Let Me Die Here (A serialized novel)
Prologue This is the absolute best. There is no one else on the trail with me and I stop for a moment to take in the view, and the quiet. The wonderful, delicious, delicate quiet. It hovers, suspended in the air like a thin sheet of ice just waiting to crack. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced such peace. The view is beautiful, beyond anything I could have imagined when I dreamed of skiing these mountains. The snow-frosted pines stretch on for miles, an endless sea of evergreen glittering in the afternoon sun. The snow beneath my skis is pristine, the groomed path stretching off to the horizon then curving down to the valley below.

The Threat
The Threat "I want you to read this message very carefully and keep the secret with you until further notice. You do not need to know who I am or where I'm from until I find a place for us to meet." "I have been paid seven thousand in advance to terminate your life for reasons listed to me by my employer he, is one I believe you call a friend."

The Last Supper !
David had long known that he would kill his wife. David is a character. But learn to accept anonymity and guess it is a blessing, not a curse. He got up at the same time, did not differ from the clothes he had worn that day, ate the same morning and led to the same work. He handed over the security to the afternoon break and then went to the park. He sat here for forty-eight minutes reading a newspaper, eating a sandwich, and then returned to the office. This routine was a relief to him.

Lacey St. Pierre
It would happen on her birthday. The sudden crash and bang as the front door was breached and dark uniforms flooded in - blinding them with flashlights, screaming incoherently and holding plastic shields up - interrupted the second chorus of “happy birthday” while her best friend carried the personalized cake to the table.

Sweet Baby
The grays, why is it every time someone gets abducted or visited it's the gray ones? No reptilians, no three legged or four legged freak of space, it's the gray nerds of the cosmos. Now Alien was an 'alien'! "Get to the choppa! "Billy!! C'mon!" ....loud bangs on the door interrupted the thought process. Michael turned and laid propped up on his hand listening to make sure it was HIS door he heard being hit. Not the best loft apartment but it was cheap and big enough considering the space and location within the city. Something he needed just starting out, even had a small nook overlooking 2nd Ave and Noble. Again another two loud bangs,

A Person of No Importance
I always lie more convincingly in a red dress. Good thing I was wearing one when the police arrived. And the bloodstains! They would have been positively lurid against the cream-colored Stella McCartney cocktail dress I was this close to putting on the night before. Well, I always have been lucky. If you met me in person, you’d hate me. You really would.

Mind Control
“Sir, you don’t understand. I’m not mentally capable of doing something like this.” “I don’t care. Just get to it.” I’m struggling to fight it. Trying to escape the control. There’s no way out. His voice rumbles in my head, shaking the world around me as he tries to break down my defenses. He’s trying to make me susceptible to his every suggestion. I’m fighting and fighting, but he keeps persisting. I scream out in pain. “You don’t understand! I can't cope with doing something like that!”

Lure
“Okay Baby let me finish shopping and I’ll be home in about thirty minutes.” “Love you.” “Love you too.” Carlton pulled into the parking lot of his favorite specialty store to pick up some caviar, wine, crackers and cheese for a cocktail party he and his wife were throwing the following evening. He moved briskly through the isles gathering the items he needed while avoiding making impulse buys. He was encountered by an older woman in the wine section. She was very open and talkative despite being a little sickly and feeble.

The Cursed Film Part 4
I had an uncle, kind of a scumbag, but he always said to deny deny deny! It usually pertained to cheating on his wives or the petty criminal shit he got himself into all the time and the fact my mother had to help him every time. So that’s what I did; deny.

The Disappearing Island
Bobby Lynn was a genius. An absolute genius, and an evil one at that. He had been set on a path to become the most feared and famed thief in history, just like his father was the most notorious criminal in the industry and his father before him, and his father’s father.

The Cottage on the Cliff
I shouldn’t be writing this, it’s just so dangerous. I could always burn the pages when I’m done, but I probably won't. My therapist said it would help me to write it all down. If she only knew. I couldn’t tell her the whole truth, for her own protection. She said she understood, but I doubt it. I was asleep for two days, two! My body ached and my mind was confused, but slowly, all of the memories started to come back. At first it was like a trickle of water, then it turned into a flood, and I was drowning. So maybe this will help, or maybe not. At the very least, it is a good story.
