Drugs, Girls, Crime, Prison, University & Near Deaths (DGCPUND) Part 1
I started smoking cannabis from a young age. I remember the first time like it was yesterday. On an empty train with my friend heading back home. We both stood at the end of the carriage, heads out of the sliding windows, puffing the smoke. We coughed many times, our virgin lungs did not recognise what we were inhaling. It was becoming very popular amongst teens and most of my friends had already tried it. I didn't know it would lead to a long term addiction. We laughed for hours and ended the night throwing up, but what an experience it was. I was a 14 year old teenager with an over protective mother. A single over protective mother. I could hear her words in my head "cannabis will kill you and you will end up brainless". Wise words from an immigrant mother of two. She only brought us to the UK for a better life. Back home in Iran this place is some sort of magical island. Everyone thinks the Queen is walking around the city shaking hands. How deluded are they. In reality things are very different. This place has it's own share of struggles. Almost 70 million people cramped into a small area of land, but a land of opportunity nonetheless. Humans are valued over here. We have rights, and promised an equal chance to make something out of ourselves. In Iran you are just a number. Forced into behaving Islamic, even if you are not enlightened by Islam. From my understanding, the leaders just want us to follow the right path. A path which would lead us to heaven, as they keep preaching to us. A theological regime with the aims of controlling the people in order for them to benefit. The true definition of eternal freedom, god consciousness. Unfortunately that system does not benefit everyone. People end up hating Islam instead, as they feel like they can't think and act for themselves. They feel forced to do certain things in order to come across religious. The females all have to wear headscarf, not something they practice properly. Most times the headscarf is just about covering their hair. The men have to behave morally correct in order to represent the core principles of the clerics. Live as the prophets of Islam may have lived. I took a deep hit of the cannabis joint waiting for death to come for me. "Cannabis will kill you" still ringing in my ears. I felt a pounding sensation in my chest. Sweat was dripping down my forehead. I saw my reflection in the window of a car, I looked pale. Maybe she is right. Maybe I am going to die.

Crime Scenes and Raspberry Jam
It was my second week of field training when I got my first crime scene assigned to me. At roll call, myself and my partner were told to immediately fall out and respond to the housing project on e163 street. There were numerous buildings in the complex, each in the 10-14 story range for height. One of the first things I had noticed when I had the post earlier in the week were the number of people middle aged and younger walking with limps, canes and in wheel chairs. I mentioned my observation to a cop with a little more time on then me, and he suggested it had to do with the large number of shootings in the precinct. It was as good an answer as any, but it didn't make me feel all that much better.

Dear Mr. Police Officer
Dear Mr. Police Officer, You probably do not remember me. In fact, you probably forgot my face the moment I walked out your office door. That’s okay, I don’t need you to know who I am, but I will never forget you. Your scrawny frame, the same mustache typically seen in cartoons, the look on your face when you were finished listening to my story. I did not want to go to the station, but the guy I went to tell you about had started spreading rumors about me. He told people I wanted what he did, that I enjoyed it. I could have lived my whole life without talking to you and I might as well have. But he took things too far and now your face lives in the darkest parts of my brain. Right next to his. I walked into the station and a lady told me to write down everything about what had happened. I tried so hard, but my mind was still fighting to deny the things that had happened to me. So, I wrote down the easy parts, the parts I told my mom when I finally couldn't stand her frustration at my decision to ignore his "kind gestures" any longer. I cried while I watched those words fall from my pen and a female police officer looked at me like she knew. If only I could have spoken to her instead of you. When I walked into your office did you see me? I mean really see me, or was it like I wasn’t there at all? As I sat there and tried to tell you about something I had been trying so hard to forget could you see the words that refused to come out of my mouth? When you looked at me and told me that you didn’t believe me did you see the hope die out? I have had so many struggles in my life and what that boy did to me was among the lesser. When I first walked in, I thought that was my chance. My chance for someone to see me, for someone to take away at least some of the pain that weighed so heavily on my sixteen-year-old shoulders. Even just that small amount would have been enough to make my life feel worth something. To make me believe that my pain and the healing that comes after, could be a priority. Did you know that because of what you said I would have to spend the rest of my life carrying that burden silently? I am only twenty-three now, but oh what a burdened twenty-three that is. My mother hardly said anything when I told her what you said. What was there for her to say anyways? What happened to me happens to so many. She put me in counseling but somehow that ended up being for her instead. I wonder how different that would have been if I had been able to speak. No matter how hard I have tried to make the words come out it is like I am trapped in my silence. And no one can let me out. To be honest I think about you more often than I think about him now. People do terrible things all the time and I have seen more than my fair share. But you… You were my hope when I had spent my life being silenced and all you did was dismiss the violence. Maybe I could be someone better today, more bubbly and less broken. Like the people I so admire. If you had not shattered my hope perhaps I could have been that same hope for others. Instead I ended up more beat down and broken because I spent so much of my life trying desperately to prove to myself that I was worth being loved and listened to… maybe even understood. Mr. Police Officer, I do not want you to feel bad about yourself. If you are still working just please do better for somebody else.

United States of America
It has been an open Pandora's box for gross staff abuse of prisoner's rights. Prison employees file false disciplinary charges against inmates in retaliation for inmates writing complaints. The legal argument is aimed at improper prison conditions of an over 100 year old prison and their racist authority toward African Americans. I decided to do a little more about my situation than the average prisoner in my situation. First of all, take a look at the commissary, commissary staff made jokes with several inmate workers. Saying things like, "How much do you think we could sell the pre-cooked chicken for?" Dollar amount was speculated among staff and inmates, like a business deal in hope of high profit. Don't hesitate to seek an audit of funds and prices on the commissary for embezzlement of money. This 100 and eight year old institution has no in-cell air quality and isn't applicable to federal, state, or local building codes. There is no medical emergency buttons inside the cells, nor does the fire sparkler system work inside the inmates cells. This constitutes serious life safety threats to the occupants of the over-crowded facility. The education department doesn't offer any academic, vocational training or pre-release programs. Let alone any heat for the winter months unless it happens to be during the couple of days the Reginal Director visits. These methods in the education department have been going on for several years here. The visiting rooms don't have sufficient space to provide our loved ones with a comfortable visit. Our visitors are shoulder-to-shoulder "Adjacent", crammed tight! The inmates are packed shoulder-to-shoulder, leaving no privacy to talk with our loved ones, one has to talk over talk the entire visiting area to be heard. It's like having a big hostile group discussion. To make matters worse and very unpleasant about being adjacent, shoulder-to-shoulder with another inmate is the fact that an inmate could engage in a secretly uncontrollable sexual manner with your children and loved ones in a perverted way. This draws a lot of tension during the whole visit and discourages our loved ones from ever returning. The federal regulation and policy that governs the mail has been violated. Under 18 1701, 1702, 1703, which states that whoever improperly detains, delays with design to obstruct the correspondence or destroys the same shall be fined or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. A search warrant needs to be issued to the mailroom staff because the inmate population has inmates missing pictures, letters, postal cards, money orders, newspapers, and other miscellaneous things that are authorized by the B.O.P., even when unauthorized property is mailed to an inmate it is not properly handled by B.O.P. standards. This one white racist officer that works on B-Lower, heavy-set with a baseball cap works on the midnights, saw an African American on a visiting picture with a white woman, the African American inmate attempted to mail the photo to his Fiance to obain copies. The picture never made it to her but the letter did. This officer disposed or stole the piture out of racism. The administrative remedy program coordinator is a waste of tax payers dollars because he fails to operate properly. On most cases he secretly disposes or denies receiving our complaints that have validity. There's asbestos throughout the whole institution, especially in the living areas. It's visible on the interior and exterior of the housing units smeared on the windows, including the floor. This federal institution is a medium security facility but they don't allow "night yard" like the rest of the medium security facilities. There shouldn't be any favoritism between medium security facilities. If one works during the 7:00AM-3:00PM shift, there's no outside recreation for the working individuals. Please contact B.O.P. concerning "The Second Chance Act". The B.O.P. repeatedly violated the statue plain intent of congress by adhere to the former rules that effectively limited Community Correction to six months. B.O.P. failed to adopt the common sense position of congress, that in general, more time in the community transition programs increase the fiscal and individual benefits of employment, family reunification, and less stringent custody. This would also help tax payers because inmates pay 25% of his/her employment check. The B.O.P. raise frivolous claims to stop inmates, only to be struck down by federal courts, and ruling in the inmates favor which cost tax payers for legal fees. The counselors procrastinate on putting inmates family on their visiting list. Case managers don't give phone calls on holidays to needy inmates. There's this one prison official that makes sexual advances towards the inmates, goes by the name Forslof. The Unicor payscale needs to be revisited due to it not being revised since the mid 80's. Don't hesitate to contact the warden or the regional director and look into these serious matters. Thank you for your time and help in advance, keep your head up!

My Friend, Mentor, and Business Partner Is a Convicted Criminal
It has been two years since my last story, which means I have, once again, broken my promise to keep my writing consistent on all platforms. I do not want to imply that I have stopped writing altogether, only that my hand has been occupied with a project that demanded focus. Since my last post here, I have published a book and come very close to a second volume about an event of great significance in my life - even if I lacked awareness of that significance until recently.
