With a count of 13 murder victims and at least 50 rapes, he is one of the most prolific serial criminals in the history of the Golden State. Risks of Using DNA Websites in Criminal Investigations
Genealogy websites use DNA samples to give their users information about themselves: their ethnic background, risk of certain diseases, even traits like hair color and detached earlobes. But a genealogy database of this kind has recently been given another use: a forensic database. In a ground-breaking case, police were able to track down and close the serial murderer and rapist in the Golden State Killer case. They did this by feeding DNA evidence found at one of the crime scenes into GEDMatch, a free genealogy website where people upload their own DNA results to track down their ancestry and family members. By looking at distant relatives, and narrowing the pool based on known factors like age range and ethnicity, police were then able to identify and arrest the killer, a man named Joseph James DeAngelo.

McCleary said you were brutal.I can be.I want you to hurt them. It’s not just the fact that defenseless young children are victims of unscrupulous people who use them in networks for pedophiles. The most disgusting aspect of this is that these circuits are visited by people who occupy important positions in daily life. Individuals who show a respectable and neat appearance to the outside world. But once they show up in this nauseating business, their fortune is their entrance ticket so they can abuse these innocent children. Joe (Joaquin Phoenix) is someone who wants to set things straight. Armed with a heavy hammer, he beats those perverts from their victims. But You Were Never Really Here is not just about the existence of children’s networks. The film also tries to paint a picture of the person Joe who is daily tormented by his own demons.

The virtual watchmen surveyed their gaze across the abandoned street, piercing through the midnight darkness, seeking for any signs of trespassers and unruly fiends. Although these security cameras were state of the art, they were no match for our speed. We had prepared extensively for this operation; our faces were hidden behind ski-masks, our bodies blended in the night with matching all-black vests, joggers, and sneakers. We were one with the shadows of the night; we were invisible. As we dashed across the street like silent panthers pouncing on their prey, we glanced up at the looming tower above; like those before us, we knew what awaited at the tower's peak. We ducked behind an emerald green shed and came face to face with a barbed wire fence. My friend nodded calmly, signalling me to grab two pairs of wire cutters hidden inside my bag. As we made quick work of the pathetic steel defence, we couldn’t help but laugh in excitement as we crawled through the rabbit hole and stood right outside of the concrete fortress of Nylex.

Innocent People Doing Time Many Americans find themselves in court facing charges they are innocent of. Something as simple as a a coworker making false accusations of theft to cover up their own guilt in order to dodge consequences can land you in prison for 15 years. People without any prior experience in the court systems live in a world of; “That will never happen to me”. In reality it happens to people just like you every single day. Innocent people who follow the letter of the law in every area of their lives. People who believed they were immune prior to the charges being filed. Immune to the horror stories they’ve heard of the justice system. People who always questioned the legitimacy of these stories as if they were tall tales designed to scare people.

Real Life Vigilantes Aren't Here to Save You
Some of the world’s most popular shows and movies include vigilantes. Whether it’s Batman, Arrow, The Flash, or Dexter, vigilantes have become a popular topic for pastimes and appear very frequently in all forms of entertainment. In video games, movies, books, or television shows, a vigilante is sure to appear. Despite its popularity, however, vigilantism has also found its way into real life. People and larger organized groups of people have taken it upon themselves to be real life superheroes and keep the world safe. While at its core, vigilantism is actually a noble idea, realistically, it is unjustifiable. Although pop culture icons such as Batman have led people to favor the idea of vigilantism, the truth is that vigilante justice should be, and rightfully is, illegal because it requires one to pursue self-perceived justice, is emotionally and physically dangerous, and could ruin actual evidence needed for a conviction.
