Reason First: 16-Year-Old Girl Killed, Lockdown Fails
Glass shards covered the pavement. These remain part of the scene of a grim story of another fatal shooting in Wilmington, Delaware. The victim, 16-year-old Ja'naija Johnson received rounds in the Quaker Hill section of the city. All of this occurred during the state of emergency imposed by Governor John Carney. The lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop an assailant from gunning down Johnson. The fact remains that a young girl is dead. She could’ve been studying for an online course prior to being shot and killed. She could’ve been braiding hair. Now she’s as cold as winter earth, but this is the beginning of spring.

Reason First: New Jerseyans Cough on Police, Make State Look Bad
Coughing and spitting is already disgusting enough. When people do these natural bodily functions against cops it becomes particularly heinous...and criminal. Six defendants including David Haley, 52, 51-year-old Raymond Ricciardi, 25-year-old Marina Bishara-Rhone, 31-year-old Kenneth Wideman Jr., 35-year-old Vanessa Shaaraway, and 35-year-old Jennifer Burgess now face charges of fourth-degree aggravated assault against an officer and a second-degree charge for making terroristic threats during a time of a state of emergency.

Reason First: Man Shot in Wilmington, Delaware, News Outlets Still Have Time for Crime Stories
A $233,000 cash-only bail signaled that crime continues despite outbreaks, quarantines, and PPE and ventilator shortages. 28-year-old Andre Davis received the cold bracelets of justice by the Wilmington, Delaware police in relation to allegedly shooting a 52-year-old man. The police charged Davis with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and receiving a stolen firearm.
