Released from jail into a world of Pandemia!! pt 2.
So I already explained in the previous part a bit about the current situation. It's Almost Thanksgiving one of those holidays that I loathe because of my lack of family growing up. I mean my mother lived in New Jersey after the state wouldn't let her draw social security because of child support that CPS was after even though they knew she had recently been diagnosed with C.O.P.D., hypoxia, abnormal sleep apnea, clubbing, diabetes, and lung cancer. Depending on where I was placed at the time some of the placements i.e. temporary shelters and group homes had some really cool things that we did like hockey games or the San Antonio Spurs would come out with large donated dinners or presents for Christmas. That's besides the point though...

Amongst Wolves
Amongst wolves THE LONE PATH What now? Tyesha whispers to her friend Dottie, whos hands are burried in her face from sobbing all morning. "I dont know, I dont have a solid plan, I just know I have to make some money fast." Dottie wipes her face walks towards the mirror and cleans herself off, as she straightens out her clothes and realigns her posture, she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, Tyesha stares at her best friend of over 10 years and is looking at the strongest girl she knows, now beaten by life and defeated. "We're going to get your JJ back, I promise." Dottie opens her eyes and stares at her best friend through the mirror, and whispers back "I know."

Fetal Abduction Survivor: Teka Adams
One of the most intriguing cases I've covered is that of Teka Adams, a survivor of an attempted fetal abduction. Teka Adams was coaxed into an apartment under the false pretense of being able to pick out baby items for her unborn child. In the days following, she was held against her will, stabbed, and underwent a botched attempt to remove her baby from her womb.

I’m Hit!
I can't remember the exact year but I believe it was the winter of '93, but it was freezing out and Philadelphia had ice storms for about two to three weeks. Black ice was everywhere. White ice, too. All the ices. The roads and pavements were sheets of slippery sludge and frozen ground. The street had been salted so they were passable but most of the pavements were like skating rinks still.

A Rose for Kayla
In London during summer, the sun doesn’t go down on time, it lingers long after the children have gone to sleep. In the morning, it peeks out a little too early. I was used to an equal division of time between day and night. But for the first time in weeks, I was grateful for this early appearance and late departure of the sun. I was also grateful for the searing heat. As I sat on the park bench watching parents reluctantly push their kids on the swings or cheer them as they swung on the monkey bar, I over analysed, like an aged professor, the events in my life that led me to that bench. There I sat, surrounded by happy people who couldn’t see the tears in my eyes or the bruises that were so visible on my dark skin.

Planning the Funeral
"I think the funeral should be on Saturday. If we do it in the middle of the week, people who work may not be able to come. You have to consider what the whole family wants, Tommy.", Jeremie said as he glanced at his slightly younger brother.

How A Set Of Doppelgangers Changed Prison System Policies
Handcuffs, fingerprinting, and mugshots are the three things that people generally think of when they picture someone being arrested and taken to jail. Fingerprinting is a tool that has solved tens of thousands of crimes, perpetuated the arrest of thousands of offenders, and even exonerated those who were innocent.

Review of 'Tiger King'
“The 'content' of a medium is like the juicy piece of meat carried by the burglar to distract the watchdog of the mind,” Marshall McLuhan famously declared in Understanding Media back in 1964. The content of Tiger King, the runaway global hit documentary on Netflix, are the tigers and other animals in Joe Exotic's Oklahoma zoo, thrown pieces of meat, juicy and otherwise (some is expired meat from supermarkets). But the deeper story, underlying the meat, is Joe Exotic's unquenchable thirst for fame, relentlessly pursued through social media. And in the irony of ironies, he eventually obtained that fame, along with a prison sentence of 22 years for attempted homicide of an animal activist and mistreatment of animals.

Case # 659901
Nothing made Hannah feel more alone than looking at her children’s empty bedroom. She stood frozen in the door way was if an invisible barrier was stopping her from going in. Everything was perfectly arranged and neatly organized. She grinned when she imagined her daughters seeing the bookshelf of new toys for the first time. Hannah felt like this room could be in a magazine. She was proud that she was able to save enough money to purchase the new bunk beds for them and even get matching furniture. She daydreamed about how happy her girls will be to finally come home.
