Body Cam (2020)
This will not be spoiler-free. You have been warned. Overall, it isn’t a bad movie (a great way to start a movie review). The script isn’t cheesy, the idea is unique and interesting, the acting is serviceable with a particularly great performance from Nat Wolff, and the effects, while minimal, are pretty stellar. Where Body Cam falls off is in the pacing. It’s pretty bad. In the first two-thirds of the movie, everything seems fine, apart from one rather long scene where Officers Renee Lomito (Mary J Blige) and Danny Holledge (Wolff) search a suspect’s house. Even this scene could be forgiven, given that it creates a tremendous amount of tension, however, taken into context of the entire film, it seems inflated. There is a major twist at the end that answers a lot of questions (although not all; I will get to that), but the twist happens in what seems like the last few minutes of the movie, leaving the audience’s heads spinning, and not in a good way. I literally had to watch this movie twice so I could process everything in the short time span that it is presented.

The Columbine Massacre
Columbine- "4-8-2013" Eric brought some guns to school He told Dylan that they were cool "They call me names, they say I'm weak." "When we're finished, they will not speak." We could've been friends. They should've been nice. "It's too late now, they must pay the price." Dylan agreed and he put on a smile. Thirteen would be dead in just awhile. Rachael was a good girl and did what she was told. She loved being a writer and had a leading role She was full of inspiration that she wanted to give She wanted to be an actress, she just wanted to live. She never saw it coming. No way she could've fought She was gone in just a second from multiple gunshots. Cassie was religious, she had so much faith in God When she was asked if she believed, Cassie gave a nod. When Eric found her hiding place, he said, "Peek-a-boo" He asked, "Do you believe in God?" she said, "Yes, I do." He aimed his gun right at her and she began to pray and when he pulled the trigger back, Cassie went away. "I can't believe what he has done." said Susan, Dylan's mother "I prayed that he would kill himself so he couldn't harm another." Other parents hearts were broken. They worried and they cried. Susan had to stay at home and pray her son would die. "For the rest of my life, I will be haunted by this horror. When I heard what he had done, I begged God, Please! No more!" They looked around at what they'd done inside of the library. They had gotten their revenge. They felt big and scary. They smiled at their victims laying strewn across the floor But they hadn't finished yet, there would be two more. They both cried out in unison the numbers, "1, 2, 3." They put the guns up to their heads and they set themselves free. Hi, my name is Patrick, and somehow I survived. I know there is a God in this world. I'm thankful to be alive. When they came into the school, they shot me in the head The only way that I'm still here is by pretending I was dead. Part of my body is paralyzed, although the doctors tried. I think I even saw a doctor trying not to cry. I feel guilty for surviving, though I know I'm not to blame. But now, I have to teach my daughter guns are not a game. - Sara Wilson

Doing Time
Chapter One For my first story, I am starting with his...Bruce Thibodeaux, also known as BJ, the love of my life. He is currently incarcerated in a prison in Louisiana. He has served 11 and a half years with 15 more to go. All of his story may not be pretty, but this is something he needs to do, and we believe the world needs to hear. I am currently also writing my version of Doing Time, as I have recently served 5 flat years. We have other stories, as we come up with subjects and we write essays together. We have decided to start with this one of his, as it touched my heart so wholly, is the only word that comes to mind. He is an amazing writer, among many, many other amazing talents he has that are just wasting away in there. Thanks to vocal, at least his writing abilities, his ability to make people see and understand, his love for all of humanity will not be wasted any longer. If you would like to leave tips for us to be able to continue to get his, mine, our stories out for everyone to see, please feel free, as they would be greatly appreciated. It is pretty expensive to be able to correspond through the prison system. Thank you. And I genuinely hope that y'all can feel and experience our stories as we have, the good times and bad, happiness and sadness, trust and betrayal, longing and suffering, strengths and well if I continue to go on we won't need to write different stories so this is the beginning of just one of our real life adventures we will take you on...

Hell is Hard to Find
He hadn’t laid eyes on her in over a year. No one had, really. But that seems to be common considering the circumstances under which she had departed--gone without a trace and for no apparent reason. This tends to disturb the people closest to you, in this case a longtime lover, and can hardly be considered a welcome exit strategy.
