Just Another Dive Bar
She walked down the street, deep in thought about the events from the past week. She didn’t see her tail, even though he wasn’t being particularly careful. She was too self-absorbed in her own thoughts. She had been going by the name Jasmine of late, perhaps that was to hide from her past, perhaps it was to start afresh. She didn’t even know anymore.

Captured
It was about 2am and I was about to end my shift at the local diner. I live in a pretty small town where nothing exciting ever happens. My name is Lucy and I live in a small, ratty, old cabin at the edge of the town surrounded by all the trees. It’s the dead of winter and I’m struggling to keep all of the bills on top of each other. My parents disappeared when I was only 16, leaving me to care for my 5-year-old sister, Everly, by myself.

The Guilty(2018)- Review
The Guilty is a Danish crime thriller featuring Asger Holm (Jakob Cedergren), a Copenhagen police officer awaiting a hearing for shooting a man while on duty. Currently, he is assigned to answer emergency calls. The day prior to his hearing Asger receives a call from a woman who identifies herself as Iben Østergård (Jessica Dinnage). Not getting any cries for help or claiming an emergency, he doesn't make too much of the call and is about to hang up. But as he continued with the conversation with Iben he realizes that she is under some kind of distress and discreetly reveals to him she has been abducted and is in a white van. The movie throughout continuous with build-ups in this storyline; Asger using his skills and doing all he can for rescuing the woman who is counting on him.

The Talent Spotter
Total Eclipse of The Heart is playing and I tense up. Fucking hate this. Here I am riding shotgun in an Uber, gliding through the streets of downtown Washington, listening to the guy driving this Lexus going on about the Nationals’ chance this year and that comes on low in the background. Why do I hate it so much? Because of a prophesy. A prophecy that I will die with that as my soundtrack. So I’m talking to him, trying not to piss on his fire too much because as a Cubs fan I know all about disappointment but also worried we’re about to get T-boned by a truck or something. It doesn’t happen. My skin crawls anyway.
