Crown Prosecution Service prosecuted Jordan Ndaka, 17 from Lewisham, Temi Adiola, 16 from Catford, and Babatude Etsi, 14 from Forest Hill following an investigation from the Metropolitan Police linking the three youthful offenders to a violent sexual assault.
The three defendants were sentenced to an aggregate 45 years with each defendant having a 15-year sentence following a possibility of release on license when they have served more than half of that sentence after the sentencing magistrate described the horrific incident to be a violation of someone’s body and detailed the incident to be a sadistic plot that left the 13 year old victim with trauma to the skull after she was struck by Jordan Ndaka and Babatude Etsi, with Temi Adiola then forcefully pulling down the victim’s dress while she was unconscious and forcefully penetrating her genitalia with no care for possible repercussions down the line or sense of guilt.
INVESTIGATION DETAILS
Detective Chief Inspector David Manning of the Metropolitan Police’s Violence and Serious Crime Unit stated: “Our teams responded immediately to reports of an assault near Bellevue Street. The quick response of our officers led to an arrest within 25 minutes of the incident being reported. After a citizen testified on the reported sexual assault by the 3 defendants sharing the unconscious victim sadistically.
A comprehensive forensic examination of the scene was captured and visualized the horrific scene, CCTV footage from surrounding was obtained and reviewed, with one footage capturing the victim’s screams before being put unconscious, multiple residents also testified they heard the commotion.
The incident occurred when the victim was walking in the area, she was subtly called by Jordan Ndaka before Babatude Etsi struck the victim and proceeded to restrain her. Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed they are not looking for any additional suspects at this time following the judgment and has put out a message that whoever participates in such behavior will be met with foreseeing and harsh consequences, this behavior is unacceptable. The Metropolitan Police have increased their presence in Folkestone and surrounding neighborhoods. Officials emphasize this appears to be an isolated incident, but encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
VICTIM IMPACT STATEMENT
The courageous victim being 14 at the time of the sentencing delivered a very emotional speech describing the horrific incident, noting that the perpetrators used violence, force, and duress to accomplish the crime. It has left her severely traumatized by the idea of the defendants being released in the future, ever since the incident she was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anorexia, Severe Depression, and Suicidal Ideation. She is currently in intense outpatient therapy to treat her constant suffering.
