How You Know Your Getting Scammed

Felt like you've been lied to?

Do you feel like you're not asking the right questions because that person refused to give you a straight answer?

Let me tell you my story on how I got scammed:

My first experience being scammed right in front of my face was wild to me. I cried, I pray, I was feeling so stupid in to believing that this person was going to help me out. (Her nickname would be Mya due to not getting into for putting someone on blast)

I met Mya through my cousin, she said that we were cousins but I knew that wasn't true. Me and my babe were looking for a spot to live together. That's when Mya hit me up saying that she could help me find a spot. Mya gave me the address of the place when babe and I were supposed to rent out a room together. Then she sent me a form for me to print out and took it with me.. When we arrived she showed us around the place, Babe and I agreed. So as I was walking back to the car to get the down deposit she was right behind me. Mya had her kids so I thought that she would go back to her kids but she didn't and stayed close to me. She filled out the form and signed it.

We were supposed to move on June 27 but went into the hospital to deliver her son. I hit her up and she said she's in the hospital. Once she's out she would let me know - Mya doesn't.

Now you would think automatically she would let me know something within that week or so. She hit me up saying that the room was and it was time to pay the first month's rent, I thought that she was going to meet up with me on that day but she didn't. When I told my babe what happened and he told me why would i do that when we don't even have the key in hand. I fell so stupid, I was feeling like my trust with people was getting worst; I know your not to trust people at all but there has to be a time you have to put your trust in someone.

Another week passed by and I wasn't hearing from her. When I call her she would always text me & once I'm out of the hospital I'll call you. But never did.

I was getting impatient so when I asked for my money back that's when Mya would tell me more lies. She would tell me that she was going through problems herself. I've felt like it was a cover up to what's really going on. it shouldn't be an issue to give you if you have it, right?

She gave me a number that was supposed to be her friend but it was the wrong number. So that's when I hit Mya up more to figure out where my money was. She told me that she was going to call the office and give me the number. When I asked her what was the address to this office that she claims, she turned ghost.

After a couple of days of blowing up her phone; the texting and calling was not the most angry I've gotten. So I had made up my mind to make a post about her because I wouldn't get no response from her. Later on that same day she blocked me, didn't even hit me up lol.

I wasn't the only one that she was doing this too. There were several people who hit me up about her. I felt so relieved that I was able to help them to have some peace & mind.

My advice to my readers is that when someone isn't giving you a direct answer or starts on another topic. Most likely they're trying to scam you; They would put up a good show, the talk would be so good & the idea that they would make your fantasy look good. Don't make my mistake on trying to do business under the table, if its not an actual business place that's legit don't do it. You won’t believe how stupid I feel about this but I accept it for what it is, I wasted $950 just for a room key that I never got. Don’t make the same mistake as I did.
