First time

I am X CRIME and today we will shed light on an incident that is not only a sad accident but also reflects our social attitudes. This incident took place in the Kelpur Musa Market in Attock where a bitter argument between a renowned tailor Sajid and his customer Mosar turned into a tragedy.

The beginning of the incident

It was March 10, which was the ninth day of Ramadan. The market was bustling with shoppers, and everyone was busy preparing for Eid. On the same day, a 22-year-old young Mosar came to the shop of the famous tailor master Sajid with a shopping bag.

Sajid was considered one of the best tailors in the area, and that is why his shop was always crowded. Mosar entered the shop, greeted Sajid and requested him to make an Eid suit for him.

Sajid, who was already very busy, replied softly: “Sorry brother, all my bookings are complete and I don’t have any more time.”

Moser was disappointed to hear this. He knew that Sajid’s hand stitching was amazing and he was not ready to get the work done by another tailor. He insisted again, “But Eid is still 20 days away, you can do my work somehow.”

Sajid apologized once again and said, “Brother, I don’t have enough craftsmen and if I can’t do the work as promised, your Eid will be ruined. It’s better that you see another tailor.”

The intensity of the dispute

Hearing this, Moser got angry. He said in a stern tone, “I have always had my sewing done by you. You should find a way for me.”

Sajid replied softly, “Brother, I am forced. There is too much work.”

But Moser's ego had been hurt. He said in a stern tone, "If you don't do my job, I won't get anyone else to do it either."

Hearing this, Sajid also said in a somewhat sharp tone, "Look brother, there is no use in forcing me. If you care about my friendship, then understand my compulsion as well."

A bitter argument started between the two, and the matter escalated to abusive language. Sajid's student Ehsan, who was present in the shop, was also watching all this. He tried to mediate, "Both are brothers, it is the month of Ramadan, talk calmly."

But Moser's anger did not subside. He got angry and pushed Sajid and walked out of the shop. At that time, no one had any idea that this incident would take such a serious turn.

The bloodshed

An hour later, Moser returned again. But this time he was angry and had a pistol in his hand. As soon as he stepped into the shop, he opened fire on Sajid without saying a word.

Sajid was hit twice in the chest and fell to the ground. When Ehsan went forward and tried to hold Sajid, Moser fired at him too. Everyone in the shop ran out in fear.

The sound of gunfire echoed throughout the market and people started hiding here and there. Within minutes, the police were informed. Moser had fled the scene before the police arrived.

The case and the search for justice

When the police arrived at the scene, Sajid had stopped breathing. Ehsan was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital where he was struggling for life.

After this incident, Sajid’s family was devastated. Sajid’s brother Khalid, who was also a tailor, filed a case with the police. Khalid said, “Mosar was no stranger, he had been tailoring clothes for us for many years. I don’t believe he could go to this extent.”

Police action

The police immediately took the matter seriously and formed various teams to arrest the accused. DPO Attock, Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan issued instructions that Mosar should be arrested as soon as possible.

Within 48 hours, the police arrested Mosar from a secret hideout. The same pistol with which he had fired was recovered from his possession. Further investigation revealed that Mosar did not have any legal license for arms, which proved how easy it has become to obtain illegal weapons.

Reflection of social issues

This incident is not just a story of murder, but highlights several weaknesses of our society. First of all, we should consider what are the reasons due to which an ordinary person suddenly becomes a brutal criminal?

Has our society lost patience and tolerance?

Do we make small problems so big that their solution is seen only in violence?

The availability of illegal weapons is another big problem. Until it is controlled, such incidents will continue to happen.

Another important question here is whether our police and judicial system are strong enough to punish the culprit in time?

Summary

This incident makes us think about the kind of world we are living in. We need to improve our social attitudes so that we can avoid such tragedies.

Finally, we pray that Allah Almighty grants Sajid a place in Jannatul Firdous and grants Ehsan a speedy recovery. We need to cultivate peace and patience in our lives so that society becomes peaceful and safe.

May Allah guide us all! Amen.
