The butt. It's your cushion when sitting and lying down, and a backup suitcase. Ask any criminal, and they'll confirm many items easily fit inside our rectums, from handguns to CVS receipts to a mouse and drugs.

Criminals usually get busted with items stuck in their booty during the initial cavity search, and repeat offenders know the odds of getting away with the contraband are slim to none. However, some inmates make it inside the jail, and some never get caught (or not until it's too late).

Its a chance worth taking when prison time is almost guaranteed if police find the stash.

Man Arrested on 26th Offense Hid Thermos in Rectum

On October 4, 2025, a man arrested for his 26th offense was allegedly found to have a large thermos hidden inside his rectum.

Polk County police responded to a call reporting a naked man in a bathroom at a public park. Upon arrival, officers found 51-year-old Walter Frymire fully clothed. He was issued a no trespassing order and told to leave.

He was arrested after he climbed onto the railroad tracks across the street. Police found methamphetamine on his person. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the body scanner at the jail revealed he also had a thermos hidden in his rectum. He was admitted to a hospital where doctors surgically removed a thermos.

Frymire has been to prison five times.

Man Claimed He Didn't Know How Syringes Found in Rectum Got There

I’s just terrible when someone sticks drug paraphernalia in your butt without your knowledge. It’s such a violation, but it happens quite often if you believe the bad guys.

Wesley Scott told Pinellas County (Florida) police officers that he didn’t know how the three syringes he removed from his rectum during a strip search got into his rectum. He told them he didn't know how the syringes got in there.

Officers arrested the 40-year-old moments earlier on an outstanding warrant over drug possession. He told them he didn't have anything else on him, but clearly the officers didn’t ask if he had anything IN him.

The outcome of the case is unknown.

He Temporarily Beat The Odds

Michael Leon Ward is part of the 1%. In 2012, he passed through a bend and cough strip search during booking into a Georgia jail holding a 10-inch, .38-caliber revolver hidden in his booty.

Ward was proud of making it into the county jail with a gun in his ass and quickly told fellow inmates. The next day, at least one person reported him to the guards. The gun was found inside the toilet in Ward's cell.

The scariest part of the whole story is that the police suspected Ward of murder, although they booked him on drug charges.

Police performed a traffic stop on Ward after clocking him speeding 90 miles per hour on Highway 17 in Dixon, North Carolina. Police Tased Ward when he failed to comply with their orders.

He was transported to jail after the office found a warrant for first-degree murder out of a neighboring county. There is no record of a conviction for this charge. He is, however, serving time on an armed robbery charge from 2018 and has a 2029 release date.

All That Junk in The Trunk

This guy used his booty hole as a man purse. In February 2011, Neil Lansing from Sarasota County, Florida, was found hiding 30 items inside his rectum after his arrest at a court appearance.

Items found hidden in his rectum included:

  • 17 blue pills
  • 1 cigarette
  • 1 flint
  • 6 matches
  • 1 unused condom
  • 1 lip balm container
  • 1 empty syringe with a cap
  • 1 CVS pharmacy receipt
  • 1 coupon

Mousin' Around

In November 2010, police in Seneca, South Carolina, were dispatched to a home on a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, they found Noah Smith naked and under the influence of drugs.

The disoriented man appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He slapped, kicked, and bit deputies until they finally used pepper spray and a Taser to subdue him. He was charged with indecent exposure, assault and battery, resisting arrest, and burglary.

Due to complaints of rectal pain, authorities transported Smith to a local hospital. Doctors took an X-ray of his backside and discovered a computer mouse lodged inside his butt. He told doctors he did not remember the events or how the computer mouse wound up inside his rectum. Testing determined Smith was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs when the incident occurred.
