In the summer of 1980, my heart was slowly mending from a seven-month-long love affair that went up in flames and fireworks, Fatal Attraction style without the bunny stew. There were no emotions that were not plumbed to their depths throughout those months, love, passion, lust, envy, jealousy, fury, misery, anguish, and regret.

My Vocal hits 1000 reads??
I started on Vocal a couple of years ago and, after a week, decided to jump off. However, upon returning and diving into my writing career, I invested in Vocal Plus; this decision alone ignited a drive to write more. By writing more, I am sharing and learning more as well. Conversations with Myself
"Children see magic because they look for it." -Christopher Moore I think as adults we spend a lot of time reflecting upon our childhoods. I know I do, especially while raising my two young children. How Vocal Has Changed My Life
Introduction Yesterday it was raining hard and I was working from home. By about four o'clock I was feeling like I had been beaten with iron bars, every bone was aching. Unusually, I never left the house until I went out for a takeaway pizza after work.

Shaped by the Sea
I gaze down at the endless sea of shells that blanket the searing hot sand. Purple ones, striped ones, ones that are cracked into thousands of jagged pieces that pierce the bottom of my blistered feet. Thousands of beach-goers like myself will soon pulverize them into the sand upon which they lie. A fate much like our own, I suppose. Ground to dirt by newer generations, by the future. If you let it, the thought can be one of comfort. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
