I am cringe. Content Warning.
Disclaimer: I slapped a CW on here just in case, but I don't think it's too intense, just a lot of talk about general anxiety/embarrassment. But just a heads up if that's something you struggle with to a point you don't want to read about it.

My Preference Is Fun And Happiness
Introduction It does amaze me that in almost every area of social contact, the stuff that gets traction is stuff that complains, whines, hates and causes controversy. Often rules smashers are eulogised while those that spread fun and real good news are ignored.

Turn away please, while I get naked.
I’m low on juice this week, at a low ebb. Down in the dumps. A little overwhelmed by life and a little sad. I want to thank a few of my fellow creators (shall I name them? They know) for picking up on this oh so subtle blue tint that has appeared in my writing and checking I am ok. It was nice to be asked. And nice to feel that there is community here. Imperfect, variegated, but present. Unlike me. I have not been terribly present, and I forgive myself for that. Is there some way of filing for later stories I want to read but haven’t had capacity for? They’re landing like micro plastics in the ocean this week and I have the bandwidth of a maternity nurse 9 months after the war began.

Get to Know Me: The Codger Edition
My entry for Kayleigh's Get to Know Me Challenge, which you can learn more about here: I've been on the fence about entering this challenge for a while. I've decided to go ahead with it, because a few friends have left encouraging replies to my comments on theirs. So, here goes, and I'll try to keep it on the positive side.

Shouting into the Void
A lovely idea from Kayleigh Fraser to help us all get to know one another better. You can read her challenge here: My first thought was, "what a great idea" and then my second thought was "but who is going to give two farts about random facts about me?"

Get To Know Me #challenge
A fun and easy challenge that I think will be a very lighthearted way to get to know each other a little more. We all bare our deepest pains in our poetry and weave them into our fictional tales but who else are we? What are some of the things we do for pleasure behind the scenes of our writings? What are some things no one would likely guess about you?

I'm Realizing I May Have Never Really Grown Up
Fair warning, I am not an interesting person by any means. I usually struggle to come up with fun facts about myself whenever I'm introducing myself to a new group of people. But, I thought this was a fun prompt and hope it will help me with having some fun facts in my back pocket for the future.

I Blame Padmé Amidala. Content Warning.
CONTENT WARNING distressing language, suicidal thoughts, pregnancy, traumatic labor Fear and Shame I'll never forget watching Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith with my father. He was so excited to show me these movies. Episodes IV, V, and VI came out during his childhood, and he wanted to share his love for the series with me. He was as excited as a little kid. We made popcorn and settled in front of the big screen with the surround sound blasting, ready for the experience of a lifetime. The rise of Darth Vader.

Carnalized Onion. Content Warning.
This tale was written because of a spelling error during my interview with Heather Hubler, who decided it was best to leave it in the final draft. She in fact pointed it out to the readers. Was it funny that she left it in …yes. But I have received one too many smart-ass retorts to let it go on any further. Whilst trying to work on my writings, and complete my first novel, more than a few friends found the interview, and left me some provocative messages and colorful images.

Why am I here?
After reading some stories from others who have confessed their reasons for writing, I am inspired to share my own. The pandemic has changed me in ways I never expected but let's be honest, anyone who says the pandemic didn't change them in some way, shape, or form, is telling a bold faced lie. I am a 39 year old female and feel as if I could be the poster child of late in life diagnosis of ADHD and Anxiety. I'll spare you the details of my medication journey since I've covered that in another story (No Manual for This). I am now medication free and learning to navigate life with two mental illnesses that feed off of each other and can keep me incredibly high strung if I let them.
