Digging up the Past
The air burned like acid in the back of his throat. It was dryer than he remembered, denoting the fact that some things did, indeed, change. His cracked and comfortable leather boots scuffed up clouds of dust every time he took a step. The incline wasn't much to put the perspiration on his brow, the journey could do that alone. The sun was a merciless task master as it drove him to his destination. The trees looked as empty as his soul, barren of all life except for that stringent will to keep standing. Their position was the same; some things didn't change at all.

Micah versus the hawk.
It was a sunny afternoon, and my buddy and I were chilling outside sunbathing enjoying each other's company alongside Micah. Thank goodness she put her flight feathers to good use that day and flew under my buddy's truck all the way in the back parking lot. Oh my goodness that was a frightening day. I want a male that looks like her.

Casino One Arm Bandit
That dam Casino slot machine is calling my name! It's that regular donation time to the lottery corporation, and it's calling me. "David, David, come David" You can almost picture it. A dark cloud resembling a slot machine hovering over my head, doing the collapsing of the index finger gesture! It's that time, David! It's that dam one-armed bandit calling my name again! The same machine that keeps stealing my money!

THE ACCIDENT
As a young family in the Los Angeles area with two young children, paying rent and putting money in someone else's pockets was not what we wanted. Owning our own home was our goal. Did not earn much money at the time but managed to save up a small down payment to put towards a house. We could not afford a home in the Los Angeles area, so we looked at the high desert in the Victorville, Hesperia, and Apple Valley area. We found a small three-bedroom, two-bath home in Hesperia. The property was on 1.1 acres of land and was considered horse property. It was a house on 1.1 acres of sandy dirt, no plants, no grass, and no trees.

Recycled Pain, Part 1: The Car Wreck
I sat alone on our bed, laptop open, waiting for my therapist to join our Zoom call. I had logged on before him, giving me a minute to decide how I was going to tell him what had happened. The truth was, I didn't want to tell him what had I had done; I didn't want to tell him that it had happened again.

I am done adulting! Check Please!
My office is a mess. Coffee cups, empty Pop Tart bags, sticky notes in various colors spewed around with essential tidbits of information. There are seven cheat sheets from work on reconsolidating my work credit card, posting social media, engaging donors, engaging volunteers, and upcoming programming that I still need to make flyers for.

Does My Fear for Death Exist? — Fear for Death Is My Psyche
With the pandemic still going on, Germany would be the best option to go on holiday. Germany is also one of my ultimate countries to go on holidays. The decision I made: I booked a holiday at two destinations in Germany. I booked holiday homes in the Eiffel, Germany. In the mountain, I could walk there. The mountains here are not high enough as my husband wants. Also, I could walk through small villages to see their beauty. I love that. I was beyond excited to go on holiday.

Gemini Mind Tricks
I want to give an example of Gemini mind tricks and how far we will go 😅 There was this waitress in a coffee shop I go to once or twice a week. She's cute and we have nice conversations and I start to like her. I think she likes me too but there's still this waitress/customer dynamic. I could be a bold fire sign and ask her out but that's not the Gemini way. I can see that she is used to my attention, she expects it now and that can be a little difficult to break out of, like being friend-zoned
